Situated in Chamarel, this property has everything: yoga in the mornings, bikes to ride around on, shuttles to the beach, and even a hike up to Piton Canot. Facilities include a restaurant, a view bar for sundowners, and a communal pool. The rooms are lovely too - quaint, private, and just stunning (especially the private pool plunges!). A very nice visit.

Very nice place in the mountain with an amazing bar view point for the sunset . Staff are very nice and helpful. Because I am afraid of birds ,there are two many for me during the breakfast

180 degrees from the ordinary resorts here, this lodge is nestled in the mountains of Mauritius. The gardens are breathtaking; the service is impeccable; and the food is amazing.

This is the dream. Everything was perfect for our stay at Piton Canot at Lakaz Chamarel. I can never get tired of that view, the food at the resort's restaurant was incredible and varied, the service was so good, the hospitality was out of this world. I cannot rave enough about how fantastic it was here.

Gorgeous lodge in a plush tropical garden
The lodge was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature. You could escape from the hustle and bustle here and really relax. We saw lots of wildlife, including bats at night. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at Lakaz Chamarel. The hotel is ideally located to visit the nearby national park and sights (including a great rum distillery!) The staff were very friendly and helpful. The viewpoint on the site is beautiful at sunset. We loved the open air showers. What's not to like! Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Honeymoon Stay
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon in a sea view room. The view and the room was amazing and we can't wait to come back again. The nature surrounding the lodge is amazing. Plenty of hikes and outlooks. The only con would be that you can't really walk to and from dinner when you are in a sea view room due to the dark nature of the lodge. You can easily call a golf cart down at the front desk but would have loved to walk

Beautiful hotel , a few niggles!
Great hotel in beautiful location. We were upgraded to a garden suite with plunge pool. Rooms have a ceiling fan but no air conditioning which is very necessary in a Mauritian summer. Breakfast was excellent but the evening meal was poor. Drinks were also expensive. However we enjoyed our 3 nights there and were sorry to leave. als

A little bit of paradise
The general environment of Lakaz was very beautiful. The grounds, an important feature here were stunning in variety of plant and maintenance. The swimming pool was situated in part of the garden and was fabulous.

Not enough superlatives to describe this hotel!
Amazing, beautiful lodge hotel set in tropical gardens in a lovely location up in the hills around Chamarel. The service and food were both excellent. Before we arrived, we had to extend our stay by a night, which meant we had to upgrade to a Garden view suite - which turned out to be a real blessing - a beautiful cabin, secludedly set in the gardens, with its own pool. This is the most beautiful hotel both me and my girlfriend have ever stayed in... we can't recommend it enough.

Toll gelegene Anlage abseits der Küstenhotels mit teilweise spektakulärem Blick über die Küstenlinie. Hier kommt man runter und lässt die Seele baumeln. Ein wirkliches Juwel, das wir leider erst bei unserem 8. Trip nach Mauritius kennengelernt haben.

Wonderful landscape from the suite. Resort located in a wide tropical garden, very close to chamarel natural reserve. Very good service and very friendly staff. Only the food is a bit below expectations and since it’s in the middle of a tropical park, there are a lot of insects and small animals (even in the suite). But no one can do anything here as this is true nature.

Un bel hôtel avec des chambres spacieuses et piscine privée appréciable. Dommage que le patron n'adresse pas un regard ou un mot aux clients et hurle sur ses employés devant nous, ce qui rend l'ambiance tendue... Anouchka au bar est exceptionnelle !

Tout Simplement Superbe
Simplement parfait du début à la fin. Séjourner dans cet hôtel est une véritable expérience. Nous n’y avons été qu’une nuit mais tout a été parfait : dîner, logement, petit déjeuner, gentillesse du personnel.. aucune fausse note !

Fantastisches Hotel
Wir hatten wunderbare Tage im Lakaz Chamarel!! Das Lakaz ist in einen weitläufigen, traumhaften grünen Garten gelegen. Unsere Unterkunft war schön eingerichtet und man hatte einen tollen Ausblick. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und immer Bemüht einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Auch die Qualität des Service und Speisen war sehr gut und rundete den Gesamteindruck für uns ab. Wir würde jedenfalls jederzeit wieder dort Übernachten.

Un très bel écrin de verdure
Jouez les "Robinson chics" dans ce lieu verdoyant où vous pourrez apprécier de prendre votre douche à ciel ouvert ! Nourriture excellente et présentation très soignée. Ambiances piano / guitare cosy avec de vrais musiciens en soirée pour des moments de détente très agréables. Il n'a malheureusement pas fait beau durant notre séjour et très peu d'activités étaient proposées par l'hôtel. Des cours de cuisine mauricienne auraient pu nous plaire ! Il manque également un espace de sport cardio / musculation.

Bel hotel intime car de petite taille. (une vingtaine de bungalows) Les seaviews suites sont très belles, un peu à l'écart. Cuisine de qualité. Personnel agréable. A noter: de préférence, il vous faut une voiture car l'hotel est isolé dans la montagne. (On descend sur la cote en moins de 15 minutes en voiture.)

Hôtel de charme. Pavillons répartis dans un parc de 12ha merveilleusement entretenu. Personnel très à l'écoute et de bon conseil pour visiter la région et randonner dans le parc National très proche. Calme absolu. Compte tenu de la grande qualité de l'ensemble, l'hôtel aurait intérêt à proposer une restauration plus inspirée d'autant que la demi pension est obligatoire!

We had an amazing stay in this lodge, which is located into a beautiful forest. Exotic new surroundings are guaranteed! If you don't travel by car, the reception desk will organize for you a taxi. The staff was very friendly and very attentive to his guests. The breakfast buffet was large and various. The dinner menus were very tasted and well presented. The rooms ( lodge) are spacious, clean and offer intimity. We highly recommend this hotel!

Magnifique halte au Lacaz Chamarel à notre arrivée à Maurice. Un surclassement en plus, à notre arrivée. On s'est ressourcé pendant 3 jours. Le staff est aux petits oignons. Inoubliable.

traumhaft schöne Bungalow-Anlage, die viel Ruhe und Entspannung bietet; jeder Bungalow ist individuell gestaltet; erstklassiger Service, freundliches Personal, es wird sehr viel Wert auf das Wohlbefinden eines jeden Gastes gelegt; leckeres Essen in schönem Ambiente; sehr gute Massage-/ und Wellness-Angebote... wir haben uns einfach komplett wohlgefühlt :-)
