"We got upgraded to the junior executive suite by the nice man at the front desk. Our room was massive and had the perfect massage chair to take our tiredness away. We did not want to leave this hotel as it was that good! Will drfinitely come back again :) thank you for the awesome service"

"The staff was exceptional, from those in the breakfast cafeteria to the concierge staff and front desk. I was met with a warm greeting in the morning for breakfast and assisted with my needs for transportation from the front desk and the concierge staff. The hotel cleaning staff kept my room in a warm/welcoming condition the entire two weeks of my stay. I highly recommend this Ritz-Carlton. I also wish to extend my sincere appreciation to all the staff of the Ritz-Carlton."

"It was my first time back in Beijing after more than two decades, and Sofitel made it extremely comfortable. A free room upgrade to a higher floor, great room (with Lanvin amenities), friendly staff and very well stocked gym with techno gym equipment, I was set for a great stay. However a couple of things to note, 1. while it is within walking distance from the metro station, there wasn't much in the area. 2. Google maps doesn't work in China, so finding the hotel using Google maps can be slightly tricky because the hotel's signage is quite low key. 3. From a safety perspective, I left weights that didn't have a proper storage spot on the floor. However, a gym staff who came by to tidy up the gym moved it to any open spot on the rack, and told me to stack it. While I followed the ask, I wouldn't recommend it as it has a higher risk of falling and landing on someone's feet. Also, having weights randomly placed on the rack makes it look really messy. "
