Beautifully curated room set in a 19th century Old English home. Modern and sophisticated touches. The coffee machine at reception is definitely a huge plus. Breakfast was fantastic. Sam our host was attentive, efficient and friendly. Would definitely return and recommend.

A perfect 10 is hard to achieve. This property came very close. A lovely stay in a lovely house with very good customer service. The hotel reached out prior to my arrival with check in instructions and spent considerable time with me when I arrived, showing me to my room, how to gain access to the building and where to park etc. This was a great touch! The location was great and is within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I will stay again next time I'm there.

The property was a nice historical home however small details in room needed attention, glue on shower wall and curtain from installation of bathroom shower rod. Side table in living area unstable because of uneven floor. Hot water required tap to run for a while before being able to use. No direction for tv operation. Difficult to access programming or options like Crave etc. No access to Kerig in main floor to make coffee or snacks. No reading material or information of things to do in the common areas. One person in a second site did booking in but did not have contact with them even though I was in a second site to check with me since I was staying by myself during my visit. No one on site to book out. Phone call to number given went to messaging and second time I phones went to a remote person. I asked for a text of invoice before I left so I could review charges but that did not arrive before I left the province. Felt like this site was not up to full strength for this time of year which made my stay seem unimportant to this hotel chain

I didn't love that we had to check in at the main building, then get in our car and drive to the building where our room was and park the car for the second time. I didn't like that there were obvious cobwebs on the light fixtures and ceiling corners of our room. I understand it's a historic building..but it didn't look clean to me because of the cobwebs. There were supposed to be bathrobes provided in the room and I couldn't find any. They also only had two towels in the room which I thought was a bit strange. The jet tub was nice, but they should have aat or something to step out on...the tile in the bathroom is slippery. The linens however were very clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were nice and the architecture of the building was intriguing. I would stay here again, but it would be great if they had a bit more attention to detail.

Loved this great inn
This is a different property - spread over several buildings over most of the block just a short walk out of downtown Charlottetown. I imagine every room/building is different. We booked an apartment. Check in was easy once we found the actual lobby in the main building. The front desk folks meet you at your building, show you how to use the door lock codes, carry your luggage, and show you about the room This is great however, note that at any given time, there may not be anyone at the front desk as they are doing the same for others. The room was lovely with a nice kitchen, living area, deck, and separate bedroom. The bed is very low to the floor and its a little cramped on the sides, you can't actually open the door all the way as it hits the corner of the frame, but it was comfortable. The sofa too is close to the floor and wasn't the most comfortable for an evening of movies after a long day out but it worked. The kitchen is well appointed and we were able to cook each day. The grounds are beautiful and there is ample parking. The staff is lovely and special shout out to our housekeeper, Kathy, who was like a friend from day one and insisted on taking a great photo of us. We miss her smiling face. I would absolutely return here in a minute.

Our stay at this downtown inn exceeded our expectations! Its a beautiful and very comfortable historic property with very friendly and accomodating staff. We would definitely return. Very easy to walk everywhere downtown! Shout out to Jake for his fantastic service!

When we arrived we could not find reception from the car park as there was no signage. the steps were broken and remained so the whole time we were there. The room was tired, dated and dusty. The owners were friendly and welcoming but we felt it was overpriced compared to other places we stayed in Canada.

We came here for our honeymoon and it was awesome! The staff at Fairholm was friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The rooms are beautiful Victorian ornate style. You will find this place lovely if you bring your book to read. Lots of history on this property that you will want to explore. It is old-fashioned, so if you are wanting the modern look you don't want to go here.

There is a work-in-progress feel that adds to the charm. The front door was being repaired when I arrived. Brad was a very welcoming host and addressed all my concerns.

Although listed as non smoking- our room smelled of smoke. Hotel offered us a candle to help combat the smokey smell. Hotel staff were very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and sites for us to see.

If you like a classic style hotel , classy, warm , this is for you. The owners rebuilt classic homes and mansions to this cozy hotel. Breakfasts were high end with no frozen waffles, fake eggs and bad toast.

Little quirks, but a nice place to stay
I had some issues while I was staying at the Fairholm. I stayed in the yellow building, which I was happy about as it was more modern than the other buildings. I did have some issues with the door locks. My first night I couldn't get the deadbolts to lock so it was a bit unnerving, especially since one of the doors opened directly to the outdoors. That door, in fact, also needed some new weatherstripping to seal it shut. I could see the sunlight coming through pretty significantly. The other feedback I have is that, though the room did seem very clean, the baseboard heaters need a fresh coat of paint. They're rusty, and it just looks dirty. There was one day where the water (for a shower) didn't get hot quickly, and while I was in the shower the water temperature fluctuated quite a bit. Other than those small quirks, I did enjoy my stay, and would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed for two nights and were delighted with both the room and breakfast. The location is just a 10 minute stroll to downtown. Quiet with a high quality bed. And a breakfast you looked forward to. Staff were great and exuded the island charm PEI is noted for. All in all excellent.

Lovely Inn, centrally located
The customer service was excellent; I received a call the morning of our arrival with details about checking in. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast the next morning and it was delicious. The Inn is an easy walk into town and was simple to get to.

Charming Inn, Perfect Location
Charming Inn in a quiet neighborhood. Walkable to many shops and restaurants, as well as the boardwalk. Our room was clean and well-appointed. Comfortable bed, would love to have firmer pillows next time. Highly recommend and would stay here again. Friendly staff and excellent onsite breakfast.
