"Hotel itself was lovely, modern and clean. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room , booked for a family of 4 was very cramped and not really accommodating for 4. A family of 3 yes, but way too small for 4. We had a double bed, single sofa bed and mattress on the floor all in a standard double room. Room wasn’t very modern in comparison to the hotel. Separate toilet from bathroom which is always great. However, not really a comfortable stay for 4 , very cramped and uncomfortable. "

"The red lights when we arrived at night didn't give the best impression to start with. The room was clean and welcoming, but the bathroom was very small and my main complain point: All plastic and no curtain, it felt like the bathroom of an autocaravan and looked worn out, with marks that looked dirty but could be of rust or paint falling off. The lack of curtain ment that the toilet and floor would get wet whenever we showered. Not ideal. There were no pictures of the bathroom before reserving, so it was a bit of a shocker. Knowing this beforehand I might have considered paying a bit more to get a better bathroom. Perfect location for a walk around Le Lac"

"Wonderful stay at Chateau Dauzac. Loved the attention to detail and all of the personal touches to make the stay special. It started with a sign with our names at reception to welcome us. At the gates there was a flag specifically for our countries. A handwritten note in the room. Fresh Macaroons. The room was stunning. Modern but classic too. Very clean and stunning view. The breakfast was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay! "

"The mediocre rating is due to the size of the room. It was a little box with barely room to get around the twin beds. It was an “airport overnight “ with a friend, so it sufficed. Access to the second floor was via a rather scary circular staircase We felt it was unsafe. As exclusive English speakers ( not proud of that), we were unable to read the gate notice if one existed. The lobby is not staffed 24/7. We left our hotel key in the room and attempted to leave. However, you need your room key to use the gate. The number posted on the lobby door did not answer either a direct call or a text attempt. We were stuck!!! Luckily, an employee arrived and opened the gate for us. Merci beaucoup to him. All that said, the staff were lovely, the room clean and the beds comfy. Excellent essentials."

"Accommodation in architecturally interesting building separate from reception and breakfast room. Good breakfast. No bar, or mini-bar available. A bed-and-breakfast more than a hotel. Comfortable room, but bathroom ready for maintenance over the winter. Excellent restaurant nearby. "

"A very strange hotel. On paper looks fantastic but was actually very tired and seemed quite empty. It is an ambitious hotel development gone wrong. One or two wings were closed almost falling down. The pool was closed. I don’t recommend the breakfast. Everything was shut by 10pm."
