How to get around Larnaca

Larnaca itself is not a huge town, but this makes it perfect for exploring on foot.

Cabs are perhaps the best way to get from the airport to the city centre, although bus services also run.

Before visiting Cyprus, be sure to make yourself aware of the political situation. Namely, the Turkish occupation of the north in the 1970s, which resulted in a hard border with the Greek Cypriot south. The border remains to the present day. While it is unlikely to pose any issues during your visit, it is simply good to approach the subject with sensitivity if it comes up in conversation with the locals.
