"Ideally placed, a short stroll along the canal into the city centre, great for the bus station. Our room was in the annex over the canal facing a busy road, it was a big room, comfy with tea/coffee toiletries etc. We live on a fairly busy road so the noise didn't bother us, but if you want peace and quiet I'd suggest an upgrade to a canal facing room. Breakfast was good, a great selection. I would definitely stay here again."

"Excellent stay as usual. Staff are very well trained and deliver excellent service. There was an issue with our aircon and they weren’t sure how long it would take to fix so they moved us to an equivalent room with no trouble or hesitation at all. The hotel and grounds are immaculate, the cleaning and gardening staff must work very hard. We’re only down the road in Liverpool, but try and pop over to doubletree Chester a couple of times a year for special occasions."

"A great place to stay for visiting Chester. A few minutes walk to the city wall and you are right there amongst the Rows and bars and restaurants. They do a great selection for breakfast and the views overlooking the river are stunning."
