"The hotel was old, far different from the pictures on website. Found spider web in all corridor lights, all the way to bathroom lights. Moved bed aside to pick up dropped items and found nightmare of dust and dead roaches. Requested some cutleries and sauce (kecap manis) from the hotel and never heard anything back from the staff ever. Safe to say, I wont be going back to this hotel."

"Abdolutely excellent. I've stayed in a dozen hotels in Semarang. This is the second best in the city. It's not to the same level of luxury as Padma but its still excellent and better value. Certainly a lot better than others in the centre of the city that charge the same rates. It's excellent service, food is very good, it's very clean, relaxing vibe, spacious rooms, lovely pool, gym is standard hotel gym. Overall excellent "

"The property is a bit old, however there are benefits with older ones. Room was larger than newer hotels, but most importantly it was clean, staff were very polite and friendly, and the location is best.
The lobby was also spacious and very welcoming. "

Areas for improvement:
- The lighting by the mirror in the bathroom was not sufficient. Need more lights
- The shower heads need to be cleaned and decalcified with vinegar
- The toilet would flush inconsistently
- Would be great to have a small shelf or stand in the toilet stall to set your phone down
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider going back if I am ever in the area."
