Too far to walk into town so car or taxi necessary. The pool was uphill from hotel which we found odd and not convenient - you have to walk up the road to get there. Overall very nice modern hotel with good staff. Would recommend."

"The studio is in the old town and within walking distance of all attractions. The only downside to this is that parking is difficult and costs E14 a day. The closest parking is only 75m away. There is a quiet patio and a roof top patio with a lovely view of the sea, although the climb to the roof is sreep."

It had everything we needed, and the host and her family made us feel very welcome – from local brandy and pancakes as welcome gifts to popcorn on another evening. "Do not spend the money for this horribly outdated hotel! You are much better off staying at an "apartment" that one of the locals can provide. I am not an overly picky hotel guest, and I come from a Croatian background, so I normally cut hotels some slack in Croatia, knowing that they are not quite what I would expect in North America, but I couldn't wait to leave this horrible relic from the old communist days of tourism. I cannot stress enough how much I didn't enjoy it! There is NO way that...
