"The view and setting really made the trip and the staff were so lovely, kind and helpful! Watching the sunset each evening outside on the rocks was glorious. The complementary breakfast was really great, fresh baked croissants and a list of hot options. The rooms were clean and basic but just want was needed really. "Enjoyed our stay, food was decent pub grub nothing spectacular but decent enough. Was told by bar girl I couldn’t start a tab (even though I showed my room key) but our friends did? Had to ask to be served at the bar as was not acknowledged by 3 staff behind the bar. Customer service definitely needs improvement."

"Wonderful hotel, needs to be seen to be believed. Absolutely full of lovely items you just would not think would work but they do. Very grand building and makes you smile. Four poster bed in a very large room with breath taking sea views. Only thing that let it down was the bathroom pod in room that just did not match decor or the extravagant surroundings. The staff, especially a older lady in the restaurant at breakfast who we also saw with a hoover the day before we're lovely and helpful. A young man in the bar early evening was also a credit to the hotel. We came down one morning to a young girl playing the piano whilst her parents ate breakfast which was so pleasant. You could not find a more impressive building on the cliff edge in Cornwall with a quaint little village with shops and restruants within walking distance. We, along with our spaniel cannot wait to stay again."

"Everything was first class, from the check in at reception, to the splendid room. To the Bar and restaurant and then the ease of parking and check out!! Clean, tidy and efficient and at a great location for access to local shops and easy access in and out to the A38 Plymouth Parkway!! Will definitely be staying there again!! They could however improve the beds. They need replacing with more modern ones like other hotels already have done."
