Some aircons weren’t working. Central hotel.

This a basic hotel and the pictures depicting the colourful rooms are the communal areas which I did not use. I luckily had aircon. Many others in hotel including my travelling companion did not (it was broken) and was far too hot for 4 days until he got to change a room. Didn’t appear to be room service, same sheets and towels for 8 days. Functional room, good location near bars, cafes and restaurants and about a 20 min walk or 5 minute scoot to the cathedral, aldstadt and the Rhine. Didn’t use breakfast which was £12 PP a day. Had a similar issue to a previous review where I arrived after hours, and only on checking my emails found cryptic instructions to get my keys? Involving leaving the hotel and going to the rear carpark using the codes given in the email. Basic stay. A little overpriced for what you got, although the euros were on I booked this many months ago.

The location is perfect! Just few minutes walk to shopping street, good restaurants, and public traffic. They have their private parking with a gate. The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is good with the 15€ charge.

Little hotel in great location

Perfect location - full of nice places to eat in the Belgian quarter just across the road or along the streets full of shops towards the city centre. Simple rooms but super clean, with a comfy lounge to read next to the breakfast room. Staff were very nice but could perhaps be more helpful with local recommendations or general advice. It is a good option overall, albeit on the pricey side for what you get.

Feels like a boarding school dorm from the 1970s. Kinda gross. Black mould in bathroom. Bed was broken. It was fine for two nights, but I can’t say I’ll be rushing back or visiting any of the other tante alma hotels. I would not have been able to stay any longer than two nights. I would be interested to meet the type of person rating this 10/10. Also there was no aircon and it was hotter in my room than it was outside.

Das Hotel Tante Alma in Köln liegt angenehm zentral und ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Innenstadt und die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem zu erreichen. Das gesamte Haus ist sehr sauber und überzeugt vor allem durch seine besondere, charmante Persönlichkeit, die dem Aufenthalt eine warme und individuelle Note verleiht. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt betrifft die Geräuschisolierung: Die Türen und Zimmerwände sind nicht besonders schalldicht, sodass man Aktivitäten auf dem Flur teilweise gut hören kann. Für empfindliche Gäste könnte das störend sein, für mich war es jedoch kein gravierender Nachteil. Ein besonders schönes Highlight ist die tägliche Kaffee-und-Kuchen-Stunde um 16 Uhr, die für Hotelgäste inklusive ist – eine wirklich nette Geste und ein Moment zum Entspannen. Zum Frühstück kann ich keine Bewertung abgeben, da ich es nicht gebucht hatte. Alles in allem ist das Hotel Tante Alma eine empfehlenswerte Adresse für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Köln: zentral gelegen, sauber, herzlich und mit liebevollen Extras.

Leider eine große Enttäuschung

Wir fanden dieses Hotel laut Beschreibung und Fotos richtig süß und bunt.Leider war es ganz und gar nicht so,eher eine bessere Jugend Herberge-nicht sauber und und stark renovierungsbedürftig.Der junge Mann an der Rezeption war nicht in der Lage uns den Weg zum Parkplatz zu erklären. Die Lage war für uns Dank der Nähe zur Gloria gut.Wir würden nicht noch einmal dort übernachten. Schade ..

Fin lokasjon og hotell - shame about the AC!

Hotellet har sentral og fin plassering. Gode fellesområder og sjarmerende interiør. De fleste av personalet var hyggelige og imøtekommende. MEN; når jeg har booket et rom med AC forventer at det fungerer. Om det ikke fungerer forventer at jeg får et nytt rom asap. IKKE etter 4-5 dager av et 9 dagers opphold. Det var veldig varmt disse dagene og en sann plage og oppholde seg på rommet. Omtrent umulig å sove. Ikke bra nok!
