The rooms were clean and spacious with updated bathrooms. The fitness center was good and the rooftop pool was relaxing with a view of the Indian Oceans and the waterfront. The restaurant has great service and excellent food.

We had issues with the air conditioning. I made 3 calls and I sent was sent 3 different technicians. Each time the air conditioning was not fixed. Finally this young technician fixed it and we had cold air. On the negative there was only 1 over priced restaurant. It would be great if there was an informal Decently priced coffee shop. The pool was a great respite again it had overpriced drinks. Overall the renuka city hotel is a comfortable stay, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. I give It 4 stars out of five

Had some issues with the air conditioning. We had 3 technicians who came to fix it. Luckily the 3 technician (a young guy) fixed the problem. The restaurant was overpriced and expensive for what you got. This hotel could do with a coffee shop serving good quality meals at reasonable prices. All in all the staff where good and personable. A pleasant stay

Nothing around the area
The hotel itself was basic but perfectly fine but location was not good. Nowhere to go buy dinner or do any sightseeing on foot. Need to take tuk tuks everywhere and pricing is very variable. I chose this hotel thinking it was near the beach but the railway line runs in front of the ocean and no beach to walk along.

Im not satisfied with your service. I paid for 2 nights but i spent only one night due to delayed flight.I requested atleast give free breakfast but the receptionist has refused. I know it is according to your rules but as human beings we should have huminity. As well as I paid 600 rupees for one water bottle. The price mentioned in the water bottle is 120 rupees. This is disgusting. Im really disappointed about your service and I don't reccommende this hotel to anyone.

From the start to end the service was beyond excellent. Perfect location, Breakfast buffet items are not that Great, but I can’t say excellent! It’s an average! Overall I did enjoyed!

So overall it’s ok, it is not a 5 star hotel so considering that it’s not too bad. The staff were okay. As there was a problem with my room I was moved to another room and I had the sea view which was nice. The water and food are very expensive and they charge you US dollar before you check out. It will be good to let the guest know right at the beginning. They have a small but nice pool on the 4th floor with great sea view. I have to say one of the sated is very kind and helpful. I believe he works there for sometime and then there is another new person who he is lucky to have a mentor. The days that he was off things were not the same

Renuka Hotel was not par to the VIP designation. The facilities were a little worn down. It was decent hotel for a reasonable price. The rooftop pool area was nice at sunset. It doesn’t have a full bar service. The room is standard. The restaurant was popular among locals. The area of the hotel was in the commercial area. It lacks places to eat. There was a Burger King in front of the hotel. There was a grocery store within walking distance. Very limited restaurant choices in the area.

Convenient hotel, but nothing special in the area.
Great staff - friendly, helpful and generally nice. But the hotel is in a very noisy environment, and Colombo roadworks in the middle of the night, add to it. The restaurant is OK, not great. No hoppers for breakfast! Room service would have been the way to go. Breakfast was a bit boring and repetitious. I would not pay for breakfast at the hotel again. But on this trip, it was useful to get the family together. Do not have the Odiyal Kool - it is nothing like the real thing. The vegetarian curries were very good. Go for the traditional Poriyal dishes - they were also good. Hoppers were so-so, with the egg overcoooked. I do better at home.

I always stay here when in Colombo. It's a city centre hotel - convenient for many of the places a visitor might wish to go to. It's quite small, no garden with large pool, though there is a small roof-top pool. It's really more of a business hotel than a tourist hotel, though quite a lot of tourists use it. The food is excellent - both south Indian and Western menus. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. There's a handy little gym for a bit of morning exercise, which is useful as it's too hot and humid in Colombo for walking about during the day. The staff in most hotels in SL are good; here they are very good.
