Great stay at the Secret, friendly staff, they prepared our room early. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety. Dinner was just okay, better to eat in the town. The consierge, Anh, was absolutely fantastic, extremely helpful, great recommendations, she really went above and beyond for us, cannot thank her enough!

What a gem. It won't be long before the "secret" is out. This is an outstanding hotel in beautiful Con Dao, immediately across a beautiful white sand beach stretching a couple of kilometers. The rooms are top notch, spacious, and highly functional. The hotel restaurant, Spice, is lovely and airy. I tried the crab rolls and traditional beef pho. Both were delicious. The staff throughout are kind and helpful. One can even rent a scooter for the equivalent of USD 6 per day, a highly recommended option to tour the main island (be sure to visit the brilliant national park). Con Dao is amazing. It's a small paradise, still without the hordes of foreign tourists very present elsewhere in Vietnam. Come visit while it's still this way, and you won't miss out by staying at The Secret.

Great resort on a beautiful island
Lovely hotel on the edge of Con Son town. Great location! Could walk into town very easily. Rooms were lovely, spacious, modern and enough places to put luggage. Secret Restaurant was fantastic (even though we were the only diners). Breakfast had a lot of options. Had an issue with the shower which was handled oddly, by British standards, but was fixed promptly. Also, in terms of staff Ang was fantastic her English was great and she helped us book an island tour on our last day.

Food is not great. Bathroom is only separated from the bedroom with a curtain. Guests can be heard outside the room at 6 AM. Air conditioning can only be controlled by the hotel staff. Staff is great and the location is very convenient.

Nice hotel with a few niggles
Pros: - Great location - Awesome cocktails and happy hour (BOGOF at about 189K each) - Comfy beds - Nice pool area Cons: - This may not bother you but hotel seems VERY popular with influencer types - had people recording videos and having little impromptu photoshoots nonstop around the pool. Also - not the hotel's fault - it was very popular with families so a lot of kids in the pool, which is fine but may not give you the ambience you're looking for if you want a relaxing time. I think it was the start of school holidays in Vietnam though to be fair. - Laundry insanely expensive - use a local laundromat. - The air conditioning is terrible and wouldn't go lower than 22 degrees. This is because they have limited power on the island (fair enough) but if you ask the front desk they can reduce the minimum temp for you. Only found this out on the second to last day which was a shame because I slept terribly in the heat. - Rooms are nice enough but the 'wall' to the bathroom is like a sheer curtain on a rail. The loo and shower are behind actual walls but it doesn't make the bathroom very private. - They play very loud music until quite late (about 11pm) that reaches the rooms. May not bother some but we were there to dive (highly recommend Con Dao Diving) so were in bed relatively early.

For a beach person as opposed to a person visiting the graves of the heroes, including Vo Thi Sau, Con Dai is fantastic because the beaches are much cleaner than Phu Quoc - and none swims, so you have the beach to yourself. The Zen suite at The Secret Con Dai was amazing. It has a lovely pool, and the staff are all great.

Fantastic stay - thanks to Anh!
We absolutely loved our stay at The Secret. The best thing about the hotel is actually the staff - we worked with Anh who took care of all our needs. For example, we wanted to go to a nice (but not so expensive) seafood restaurant and Anh personally called multiple restaurants to find out which restaurant was open and whether they had a particular type of fish to ensure we had a great meal. She also checked in our us consistently and answered all our questions about where to go, how to get there, etc. On our final day, Anh gave me and my wife heated eye masks so that our flight will be more comfortable - she is so sweet! We had a room with a beach view and we were very happy with it. It was quiet, had very comfortable beds, and the shower had endless hot water and great pressure. The hotel has a really nice pool as well. The only thing I wish is that TV in the room had access to streaming applications like Netflix. We will definitely stay at The Secret again. Thank you Anh for making our stay magical!!

Very helpful staff, helped me rent a motorbike to explore the island. The beach is an easy walk from the hotel. Breakfast is excellent. The only drawback is noise--the hotel is not well-soundproofed. I got awakened one night by people down the hall who sounded like they were right out my door. It usually wasn't a problem though. I used a white noise app on my phone other nights.

The Secret is one of the higher end options for accommodation on this island. However, we got what we paid for. The food was unreal, some of the best we have had in Vietnam, the service was next level. Andrew and Ly went wayyyy above and beyond to help my wife and I. Expedia gave us a lot of issues with the bookings, both Andrew and Ly and several other staff helped to try and contact Expedia, help with our booking, as well helped organize a private English snorkelling tour. The prices were similar to that of home inn Canada... which compared to Vietnam prices, are much higher. That being said, we were not unhappy at any moment during our stay. The service was incredible.

We loved our stay at the Secret! The hotel looks brand new and is very pretty, with a large pool, a large dining room, and with cooking, cocktail, head massage, foot massage classes (most of them free).The breakfast buffet has lots of options and is simply delicious.What makes this place amazing is the staff. Everybody there is very nice, with many speaking an impeccable english. I had an accident at the National Park and immediately upon my return at the hotel, was put in a car with a very kind young woman who made sure I had support at the hospital to translate and explain what needed to be done. We had never seen such a group of friendly and efficient employees! Stop looking, this is where to go!

Nice stay in Con Dao
The hotel was very nice and clean. The spa was very nice and relaxing. The restaurants were empty except for breakfast. The food was fine but a little pricey compared to other restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the beach across from the hotel is covered in trash.

The service was very good. Overall very nice, one thing is that the rooms are not so well soundproof so the hall and neighbours were really loud. The bed was kinda hard. But otherwise amazing staff and nice food.

The hotel is quite beautiful. We had a corner suite and the view of the ocean was nice from our large balcony. The room was very comfortable, although there is little privacy between the bathroom and the rest of the room. The restaurants are great, as is the rooftop bar. The only disappointment was that it is not in the beach. The ocean is across from the hotel, but there is no beach, just large rocks. The staff was excellent. Attentive, helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, nice hotel. I would recommend it to anyone as long as they are not expecting a beachfront resort.
