"Great hotel in an awesome location. Lots to do on site (swimming, water slides, beach, yoga, table tennis…etc all free, then lots of paid for options such as pastel, mountain biking, tennis, golf). Location was great, lots of opportunity to explore historic sites and natural beauty….not to mention local culture. Lots of on site restaurants but some of the local ones in Gialova were brilliant. "I could write many paragraphs on the Romanos but I will stick to the highlights. It is a very good hotel - perhaps not quite exceptional, but very good in many areas. Combined with the Westin it is large - we went late October which was perhaps fractionally late for sunbathing (though it was about 25 degrees between 11-4 so good for lying by the pool or on the beach) - but perfect golfing temperature. The golf is excellent, the tennis set-up is disappointing despite the number of courts. Private lessons are absurdly expensive and they have not managed to create a 'Club' feel at the tennis by organising age group or ability clinics which are so important for kids to make new friends. The dining options are very good and the food is of a high standard (although quite a few restaurants were closed by late Oct which was disappointing). The place is crazy expensive - €5 for one Karaoke song or €50 for an hour's padel is not going to encourage people to try it with their kids.
