"The food was very good as described by many previous reviewers. Our only issue was the temperature of of our bedroom, what with it being an old building, us being in an upper room and the heatwave it was very warm. There was an old aircon unit that was very noisy and due to its position in the room ( in a place away from the bed) was of no benefit sadly. When we spoke to one of the very accommodating staff the first morning a fan was delivered to the room and had been switched on for us when we got back later in the day. Despite the heat we would definitely recommend the Lamb, and all of it's staff, for a peaceful break in a very quiet area of the countryside."

"It was so nice to stay in a real English pub. All the management and staff were so friendly and so helpful when we needed help with items to enable us to clean my sisters grave at the nearby church. We will stay at the Benett Arms every time we visit Semley in future. Great pizza and breakfast."

"Have stayed here a number of times now. Great location on the river. Being able to park so near the cathedral is a real bonus. Staff always very helpful and friendly. We don't always eat at the hotel but when we have it's been good."
