East Wind Inn on the Water

East Wind Inn on the Water

8/10 Good
"What a beautiful location. We would love to have stayed another couple of nights just to unplug and enjoy the tranquility. The breakfast was wonderful, I had a blueberry waffle and my husband had a breakfast burrito. Being a 200 year old building, our room had slanted floors which made the head of the bead lower than the feet, even though we noticed it was already shimmed up a bit. Plus you need to be ready and willing to lug your luggage up to the 3rd floor (no issues for us but some might want to request a no stairs option). Otherwise a lovely experience. The fire pit outside with blankets provided was really inviting. Lobster boats really do come in at about 4:30am so youโ€™ll hear them. We loved the authentic experience!"

The Craignair Inn & Restaurant

10/10 Excellent
"The owners were very present and engaged with the guests. The inn is well-run and well looked after. The property has a beautiful location right by a Causeway to Clark Island. Our room was not spacious but nicely decorated and functional. Only downside was that it's an old building and the less-than-considerate guests above us were VERY heavy footed at all times of day and night. Not the inn's fault, of course! Also when I booked I wasn't aware that the included breakfast is vegetarian only. There are no meat options apart from at Sunday brunch. Just FYI!"
