Staff were great. Lovely lunch and dinner options and desserts were amazing. Cabin was ok, but parking a bit challenging in some cabins. Accessibility also a bit of a challenge, ramps don't always lead to the carpark or other useful areas. Not a lot of privacy in the cabin, soundproof though. Included breakfast was poor. The range of options provided was as expected, but toasters didn't work properly, bacon was chewy and scrambled eggs discoloured and rubbery. Lots of great walks around the area and a beautiful spot.

The food in the restaurant for dinner was delicious but breakfast was disappointing. Adding wifi to rooms would be of great benefit. I wasn’t stating there to escape the world but as part of a motorbike tour. Made it hard to check next day weather

Being in the National Park right at the lake (with a view, but not all cabins have that). Did not like the breakfast (very basic) and that there was no basic kitchen in the cabin. The price is pretty high (monopoly).

This place is terrible value. Stingy, stingy, stingy breakfast for such a high priced place, too few staff very poorly trained, no excuse for no wifi given the price and lack of phone signal. The amazing location is 5 minutes from Derwent Bridge where much better value for money and service can be found. This was the most expensive place we stayed in 4 months in Australia and is not comparable more economic options in other iconic locations. Cradle Mountain Hotel for example was a lot cheaper and 20 times better in terms of food and service. The accommodation was better there too but I accept that in such a sensitive and exclusive location the operator's hands are somewhat tied in terms of the infrastructure.

Room was clean and facilities within the room were good. Rooms were more or less cabins in a location remote from the main building down a bush track. If you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you. At $400 a night we thought that it was vastly overpriced.
