"The hotel is a bit dated, but the nicest option close to Amberd Fort. Since I was planning on sunrise at the fort it was worth the stay, otherwise you can probably find better in Yerevan."

"I think it is completely inappropriate for this to be advertised as a 4 star property. The standard falls below 2 stars at its very best. The first room as I was offered (even though I was later told this was an error, which I do not fully believe) was in an appalling condition. There were marks on the walls, the wardrobe was broken, the fridge smelled to name but a few. I was then offered an upgrade to a better room. "It had a good view and wide windows. The ambiance was quiet, and there was a piano in the shared space between the first-floor rooms. Our room was big.
