"What a wonderful property- beautiful, clean and good location. Christiana was lovely and welcoming. Our room was large, especially by European standards, with a gorgeous bathroom - very luxurious. "Our family stayed at Schloss Lieser to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and it was a truly memorable experience. The property itself is stunning, with each room uniquely decorated and warm, elegant, and inviting. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to help, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The spa and pool area were immaculate and provided a wonderful place to relax. The food was creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. What made our celebration especially meaningful were the thoughtful touches from the staff. They beautifully decorated our bed for our anniversary and also decorated the table for our family dinner, making the occasion feel truly special. Those gestures meant so much to us and our family. The only suggestion I would offer is regarding the pacing of the five-course dinner. While each course was excellent, the meal lasted nearly four hours, which felt a bit too long. A slightly quicker pace would have made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Schloss Lieser is a beautiful destination with exceptional hospitality. We would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay."

"The breakfast buffet was excellent with many options - all very tasty. The dining room was spacious and comfortable. Our room was quite spacious and offered a lovely view of the vineyards that line the hillside on either side of the river. We will definitely be back as it is a lovely place, especially with children."

"Our room in this hotel was "different" in a mostly positive way. The "Gulliver" room was roomy, very unique in its decorations, cool (a large fan helped) and pleasant to be in. The bathroom was up five steps and imbedded in the rocky side of the hill (hard to describe its uniqueness). All of the usual necessities were there, but positioned a little awkwardly because of the structure of the room. They all functioned well and were just "different." The whole combination was a nice experience. The breakfast was worthy, in a nicely appointed eating area. The hotel does not have a lot of amenities (no fitness area, pool, or spa), but it is well positioned in the town amongst the historic buildings of the old town. The staff were professional and helpful when asked. There is limited parking and it should be requested when making a reservation. It is helpful to have a small car, since the size of the parking spaces will scare most Americans."

"Special hotel right in the heart of Berncastle, rooms are very spacious, lovely bathroom and a fabulous breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Mosel. Staff were attentive and there is on site parking for just 8 Euros a day. Super convenient, out of the door and you are bang in the middle of the beautiful Berncastle. Will be back for sure."

"It's going to be hard to find a better place to stay and eat on the Mosel than Hotel Zeltinger Hof. The property is somewhat peculiarly segmented and spread across several locations, which may at first seem disjointed and inconvenient (especially if it's pouring rain), but in the end it starts to make sense. The rooms were incredibly well appointed, the check-in experience very smooth and friendly, and the dining frankly out of this world. The selection of wines was, as expected, an anthology of the greatest producers along the Mosel and its tributaries. But what I did NOT expect was how deep that anthology went. The wine list exposes you to an encyclopedic history of both current AND now-defunct or impossibly small winemakers and wines, some remarkably old and hopefully very well preserved--a deep-dive into the Mosel's prolific winemaking pre-history. There's so much about this property that begs to be explored even more, and thus we'll return. Hopefully in the very near future. Well done, Zeltinger Hof!!"
