My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The owner, Peter was so helpful and friendly. The place had a beautiful yard and we had a lemon tree right outside our unit, which was very clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable with electric heated blankets to keep us warm during the winter, and the kitchen and laundry facilities were adequate for us to do some light cooking and washing. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Christchurch and will recommend it to others!

Beautiful and comfortable accommodation, property and staff were excellent, customer service was top notch. The booking site was disappointing though, as they didn’t send the pin to the lock box for the key ahead of arrival - if you book via this platform, please ensure they send you the virtual check in at least the day before your arrival, else book direct. We had to dial the emergency number and fortunately the staff came to our rescue very quickly. Kudos and thank you to the vicarage team!

Nice quiet hotel very near the airport with plenty of parking spaces.

We stayed here on our way from Queenstown to Christchurch. Found it really easily and were greeted by friendly proprietors. Rooms were good sized, clean and well appointed (we had the 2 bed unit which included a kitchenette). Would happily stay here again.

Receptionist was friendly and helpful, and property was clean and cosy. Its a perfect stop before heading to christchurch airport, being a very short drive away!

Suited our needs well. The only grumble I have is that there are 2 separate taps for cold and hot water instead of 1 combined so that you can regulate the temperature of the water. Otherwise, it is a lovely place.

We chose this motel for its proximity to the train station, so it's slightly far from the main shopping/dining area. However, the room is fantastic with full amenities. The staff was very nice as well, giving us a room that was ready even though we arrived 4 hours before check-in time.

The moment I stepped into the room, I was impressed by the spaciousness of the room. There are two queen size beds and a two seater sofa is placed in between the two beds. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. And there is a mini kitchen at one corner with kitchenware provided that is sufficient for you to cook a simple meal. The bathroom is spacious too. It would be perfect if the sink countertop is wider since there is sufficient space. I like the room as everything is cleaned and look...

Clean rooms, excellent staff service and no issue with parking

We had a fantastic stay. The stylish fit-out, extremely comfortable bed, and friendly, helpful staff made our visit very enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again.

Room was good and comfortable.

The room was clean and location of hotel is good, in a quiet location and not far from city. Bus 8 taken from bus stop opposite Botanic garden goes to the Gondola easily. Walkable to punting location. Very short distance to great restaurant - The Goldfinch.

Stayed in a one bedroom unit and it has everything! All appliances in tip top condition

The staff were very helpful and warm. The room was well designed w a partial view of the sea and great view of the snow capped mountains. It felt like a home away from home. It was a bit of a walk but very accessible to the Kaikuora town with lots of food and activity options. The breakfast buffet was very well curated and the restaurant was well situated to catch the sun rise. Well worth the money!

The property is very clean and located quite close to many places you want to visit while you're in Christchurch. Many amenities are new & clean. My only (very subjective) complaint is with the smell of the soap/shampoo provided! Again, that last comment is very subjective. Overall, I will definitely consider this place again if I visit Chch in the future one day.
