"We arrived late at night, actually it was more like early morning. Rio Amazonas is one of the few hotels that will let you check in that late. Check in was swift and we got a broom with a magnificent view over the city and Cotopaxi. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom brand new and beautiful. Breakfast is fabulous and the staff is very friendly. Not sure about the neighborhood yet, but it looks fine. "

Lack of information at check in. I had to ask for breakfast timing, and the staff gave me different timings to that which I eventually found in the room on the bedside table.
