"My friend and I stayed at Marina Rio in October 2014. We enjoyed it then and it hasn't disappointed us on this visit. The bedrooms have been revamped, excellent! The breakfast has something for everyone and my only comment would be the tables are close together. (Understandably as you need a place for all the visitors). Lovely walk to the town, great walk by the sea on the 'new' boardwalk. Lots of lovely eateries etc. I hope to return. Thank you."

"Amazing beach front property, amazing views, close to many amenities. I would stay here again, and again, and again. Staff were helpful, kind, and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was tasty, saved lots of money by eating a hearty breakfast. Only dislike was that I couldn't take my food to my room, but that's so minor I don't even mind."

"This was a great place to chill at! The staff was excellent and very helpful. A Bruna, a Diana, o Sergio, o Rui, e os outros estão maravilhosa! We stayed in room 714. It was spacious and so was the balcony. Across the promenade was the sea in all her majesty and beauty. I would recommend to stay here. The fruit market was second to none. It was the first time I tried nêsperas or lowquats, an exotic fruit from where I come from. I will miss my stay here. "

"This property is nothing but beautiful and in a peaceful location, though I would day some of the services in the pool bar area was not upto the standards one would expect as a 5 start resort. Furthermore, vegetarian options were very limited for lunch and dinners. Breakfast, however was excellent! Shoutout to Isabella on the reception desk, she was excellent!! Made my check- in process so smooth. Loved the hotel beach, quite spot to relax and kayaks were available too to venture out on some...

"The hotel hallway is dark, light is too dim. Location is convenient, with a mini market and cafe right across the hotel. We booked 2 rooms, only one is with sea view."

"The suite we stayed in was so spacious with a lovely view. The staff at the front desk were all very friendly, helpful and really cared about our request for a quiet room. A lady at the reception (sorry didn't get her name) was particularly helpful with our many requests for boat ride to the caves, bus to the old town centre, and train ride to Lagos. There were a couple of good restaurants nearby, we tried the Thai restaurant and also Cantinho do Mar 3 course menu at an unbelievably good...
