Cat & Dog Friendly Hotels in Madagascar

"This is not a nice hotel! The pictures are misleading, it looks like they are probably several years old. The hotel is much less inviting now. I guess it would be fine for travelers on a limited budget who don't mind very basic accommodations. The grounds were untidy with visible piles of garbage, the rooms were spartan and uninviting - the place looked more like a barracks than a hotel. I took one look at the place and my room, and left to find another hotel, even though I had already pre-paid....

"Hotel did not expect us, said they are not partners with orbitz and charged us a second time. Hope orbitz will reimburse me!!!"

"All staff is nice and willing. Unfortunately the property itself seems to be left in disrepair. The worst part is the lack of a proper restaurant/chef: food quality is below par. Breakfast is appalling, very little choice and poor quality. Definitely, as it is now, not a 5 star hotel."

"Location is good. Clean and meets room standards in its class. My negative experience is that they have double charged even though I prepaid online before coming. It was impossible to communicate with the front desk. Although I shared my receipts, altough I showed the booking papers, Although hotels com tried to communicate and furthermore although my friend from Madagascar tried to explain face to face in their language they didnt understand. Dont rely on they are reading the emails, they dont!...

"This was the best hotel we stayed at in our month long trip in Madagascar. We were either jet lagged, or about to travel whenever we were in Tana and this hotel was comfortable and easy. It is at the top of the hill with a nice view and a rooftop bar. There are a few bars and restaurants in walking distance as well. Their prices are a bit high, so we walked next door for breakfast and went out for dinner. But wow, to have a nice shower and wifi is incredible."

"Liked the appartment style rooms (unique charm for a hotel), the lounge area on 1st floor was wery cosy. Nice location (pretty quiet one way in downtown Tana) Did not like: only one small bottle was granted and only one large towel while we were two. "

"The staff are bad, don't treat client s properly . i changed 4 rooms, the first room doesn't have wifi, have to beg 2 days to move to next room and staff are so bad and arrogant, one staff shouted at me. 2nd room the door lock doesn't work, so the problem continued until the 4th room. the breakfast is small dry bread with jam, it is shame 5days dry bread with jam!!!!! i will never go there and never recommend to anyone, Hotel Panorama!"

"I was satisfied, nice room, clean, well fitted with mini bar and tv, safebox, large bathroom, the location has fantastic view over the city, helpful and friendly staff. But there is no hair dryer and the breakfast service need improving. One has to order the previous day, which is not always possible according to one’s activities"
