"This was an inspired booking through Hotels.com. We had an excellent room (Lapwing), which gave us a lot of space. The weather was fantastic (snow on the beaches, zero temperatures and clear skies - excellent for walking)."

"Lovely treat staying at Slaley Hall. Very attractive surroundings. Swimming pool ideal for little ones. Hot tub, steam room and sauna and beds to relax on. Plentiful breakfast which was delicious. Hopefully back soon. "

"It is situated in The Port area but don't let that put you off. The area has been regenerated. There are Park facilities nearby and the hotel is just a short walk/drive to beaches. All staff were helpful and smiley! Pricing of food & drink is okay. Most areas were clean and fresh and there was off street parking."

"Booked a 3 night stay in what was described as a budget room . The room we were given was directly above the kitchen so any chance of a peaceful nights sleep were gone . If it wasn’t the sound of the bottles being emptied into the bottle bank it was the delivery drivers clunking about. Then we were woken just after 6am by the kitchen staff talking on their phones . The room was ok in it’s self , comfy but bathroom was in need of a good clean . Staff were good and food in the hotel was ok only...

"A lovely hotel, great service, excellent restaurant. Fairly basic spa but good enough. Bed pretty uncomfortable but clean and all the necessaries. Would return, lots to see nearby and fabulous coast line. Loved it."
