"The condo is nice and in a great location. However, there was no internet for our entire stay. The host was non-responsive and was aware of the issue before our checkin. There are other reviews that had the same problems. Without internet, there was no tv either. There was not good service so our hot spots did not really work. Also, there is not a parking permit. They send instructions to park in the condo complex lot, but there are signs that say a permit is required and you will be towed. The...

"We came to town for a college showcase softball tournament and the staff was absolutely amazing to the families on our team. The staff went over the top to help us with anything we needed. The place was awesome. We will definitely be staying there whenever we come to the Sip to play softball.. #Florida Premier 2030"

"There was really no basketballs nor volleyballs for the activities. They had one of each and kids had those 2 in the water. You will not catch any fish so don’t waste your time bringing fishing rods. We were there 4 days and one little fish was caught. Others I saw caught none. The property was very nice. The rooms are a little outdated but clean. The beach is fun for kids for sure. They need more kayak paddles but we were able to kayak as long as we wanted as guest. I think it’s by the hour if you’re not staying over night. The food was decent. We will go back though. All in all, it was very peaceful."

"This felt more like a bed and breakfast. There are very few guests and very few people on staff. And we loved it and will be returning! The downside: We were somewhat skeptical when we arrived late at night and didn't see any other cars. You have to drive around the old high school to find the hotel rooms and even still there were only 2 or 3 cars. My kid said, "Mom where did you find this place??" But that's because this is an event venue and there wasn't an event going on when we were there. There are only 17 rooms and when we were there only 6 were occupied. The location is an odd combination of business offices that sell wildlife cameras and wild pig traps (seriously), event meeting rooms, and lovely little hotel rooms - that have all been converted from a high school. The upside: Despite all of that, once the sun rose and we got the lay of the land and met the staff in the breakfast room, we loved it! The food was delicious. The rooms were really lovely, super comfy beds and beautifully decorated, not standard hotel furniture. The staff communicated with us throughout our stay via text messages and were super sweet. We will be returning to The Tangerine on future visits to Starkville to see our son who is an MSU student!"
