"This hotel is located in a Spanish colonial building that served as a boarding house for newly arrived Spaniards coming to Nueva Espana in the 1700s. Our room had 15' high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the street below. The bathroom was larger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in! While the amenities are very basic (weak wifi, old keys, flat pillows), the experience of staying in such a classic building outweighed any negatives. In addition, the price was very good. Highly recommended...

"Beautiful old building; close to zocalo; everything is worn; beds are hard; towels clean but stained; breakfast is toast."

"Local transportation close by that takes you into the city and drops you off near Zocalo ( you’ll have to walk around 3 blocks ) Pesera (# 11) On the way back, Pesera (# 11) literally drops you off across the street from the hotel. "

"The first night at the lavanda room was super noisy when people knock the fron door in the middle of the night, for the second night I ask for a fan so the little noise of the fan doesnt let other noises in, and had a perfect night sleep. "
