Comfort Inn Jamestown South

"Lipstick on a pig. We stayed at this place 5 years ago when they were just starting renovations. They pretty much just replaced the carpet with vinyl floors. The upgrades are cheap - bathrooms have indoor furniture that is already swelling from the humidity with the space being too small for toiletries; shower is mediocre; the beds are worn out; the lamps in the room look like they were brought from grandma’s house (same ones they had 5 years ago). The parking lot is shady - not very well lit, can only fit regular vehicles (no campers or trailers), and there’s always random dudes out there smoking pot. Don’t recommend staying here is you are traveling as a family (especially with young kids). The first time we stayed here we said we won’t be back. The second time we didn’t realize this was that same place until we got there - we will make sure to put this hotel on the “don’t book again” list. We’ve stayed at other Comfort Inns and Suites and this one does not meet the standard we’ve experienced in other places. Way too expensive for what they offer."

"Our room was super clean. The full size fridge was spotless. Check in was easy and we were told about breakfast room service (no continental breakfast) and how to turn the ice maker on in the fridge."

"The room and property were clean and in good shape. Desk people were friendly and joked around with me making me feel comfortable. Bed was comfortable and bedding was in good shape and clean. Breakfast was good for the affordable price of the room. Air worked great and kept the room at a great temp."

"Would never stay again. It was a room that cost us over $200 and the bed and bathroom was clean at least. The room smelled bad. The carpeting was old and the sofa was disgusting so we went to get some freeze sky and linen spray and prayed the carpeting down and the drapes and sofa and went to get something to eat and came back and it at least smelled better. Hallway doors from outside of building are not secure and they are warped. The pictures of the rooms were obviously filtered or photoshopped. We had no choice because this was the last available place in town. We over priced!!"

"I’ve always enjoyed staying at Hampton. This stay was the exception. I had two rooms. One room didn’t have a coffee pot and was told they would check on it. A call was never returned. When we went to the front desk later that evening, was told they didn’t have another. The breakfast was not good in the morning with little variety. It really seemed like the hotel was preparing to close for some reason. Will not stay at this location again."
