It was my fault, as I waited to long to book and the ocean front unobstructed views room were all booked up. Anyhow, it’s always my go to In Progresso, even with all the changes I have seen happens to the beach town in the last decade or so, Playa Linda is still hands down the best hotel available. "This hotel was a great location near the main pedestrian street...but some distance 915-20 minutes to center by foot. It's a lovely, clean modern hotel, with a rooftop pool and bar. They could use a bit more shade around the pool area, though. Would be good to add some umbrellas there. Merida is really hot!! it was 101 degrees F every day we were there."
