"We loved the place, very quaint,charming. we really enjoyed the patio with a charcuterie and a few beverages! great spot! Although we wish the hotel would have had a shuttle to the FAMOUS 4TH OF JULY FOLSOM RODEO-- especially for Our 250th celebration. We ended up walking, luckily it was a nice evening. We would stay again,just have to plan ahead for transport to and from activities. Thank you!"

"I really enjoy staying here. We come here and stay bc of softball tournaments. Any time we are playing in the Sacramento area we choose to stay here! Let me tell you why…. 1. The staff is very friendly and are always smiling and helpful! 2. The entire hotel is spotless and brand new looking 3. The parking is easy and safe 4. The breakfast is awesome! Wide variety of food choices. 5. The price you pay to stay there is reasonable and you definitely are getting your money’s worth."

"The only real complaint is that the construction workers that are living there for a long period were extremely loud and slamming doors. On one evening we actually witnessed one of the construction workers jump from one rooms air conditioner unit to another rooms air conditioner unit outside facing the parking lot. That could have been a bad result."

"I had a jetted tub room and the bathroom looked spotless until the jets pushed out a few particles. I think they need to clean those better. Other than that the room wise nice, cool, spacious, had all the necessities like mini fridge and microwave, kureg ect. My room had a nice big window with a stunning view of the sunset. I checked out 30 minutes late and they didn't rush or bother at all they were welcoming and nice. I woke up too late for breakfast."

"Great Historic Charm in a Perfect Location! If you love vintage hotels with a lot of character, the Historic Cary House is a fantastic place to stay. It’s located right in the heart of downtown Placerville, making it incredibly convenient to step out and explore the town. Because it’s an authentic historic building, everything is on the older side. Just a heads-up for future guests: even though the rooms do have AC, the older infrastructure means it can still get a bit warm inside, so just come prepared for that! That being said, the rooms were very clean, and the beds were nice and comfortable. It's a wonderful, unique spot if you want to soak up some local history!"
