great location for exploring the island ,Duncan downtown was cute and the warf Cowichan bay nearby was difinitley worth checking out ,kitchen came in handy for breakfast and taking a lunch to explore the island ,amenities where ok ,but we didn't go to spend time in the motel ,

Some fun details in the room : cool red retrolook mini fridge, and sliding bathroom door. Nice bright morning light through the bathroom window made for a very pleasant shower. This place was no frills and a little rough around the edges on the external premises, but it was cozy and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again, and the price was fair

We spent 5 nights at the hotel in a single queen and had family in a suite. Motel nicely renovated and bed so comfortable. But the best thing about this Motel is Emerose and her staff. She was so helpful and resourceful in finding solutions for our changing dynamics in spite of a fully booked Motel all the while maintaining her warm, welcoming personality. She is a true jewel.

My room was renovated. I estimate approximately 4 to 5 years ago. It was clean. Neat. The exterior is in decent shape. It does need a coat of paint and some cosmetic updates like refinished or new entry doors and door trims and some nicer landscaping. Some hanging flower pots would give the place a nicer feel. The price range it's a good value.
