"We stayed at Narayan Kothi, Varanasi for 2 nights and overall had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The rooms and hospitality were good, and we enjoyed our time at the property. However, there are some areas that need serious improvement, especially food quality and service follow-up. I ordered Dahi Kebab during the stay, after which I suffered food poisoning. The hotel should urgently review its kitchen hygiene and food quality standards. I had also ordered plain moong dal for my 7-month-old daughter, but it was prepared with rice mixed in it. When I took the food back to the restaurant and raised the concern, the staff denied that anything had been mixed. This was disappointing, especially because baby food needs extra care and clear communication. On another night, the team forgot to send the moong dal order altogether, and it finally arrived after around 1 hour 30 minutes. This kind of delay is difficult to manage when travelling with an infant. Also, the hotel team clicked our welcome pictures on arrival, but when we later asked for them, we were told they had been lost. This was disappointing, as guests expect such memories to be handled carefully. Overall, the stay was comfortable, but the hotel really needs to improve food safety, baby food handling, communication, and service reliability."

The Banarasi paan was the perfect finishing touch, and the cultural experiences added so much charm—from soulful sitar and sarangi performances to the captivating Kathak dance and even an insightful session with the astrologer. The location itself was magical. The boat ride along the ghats, the genuine care from the staff, and the breathtaking night-time Maha Aarti viewed from the boat made for an unforgettable, mesmerizing experience. This entire journey has left me with a deep desire to return to Varanasi again and again. "

"Comfy, clean room. Good location, very close to Assi ghat. Linen was not too fresh, somwone's hair on the pillows. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Apparebtly, it also takes 15 mins to check out in the morning. That is if there are no other guests checking out at the same time. It would have been good to know before I arranged for the taxi pickup ") All in all, good value for money; and with some simple improvements, it has the potential for excellency. "

"This hotel is OK if you dont want hot running water on demand in the evenings. If you do, you need to ask the staff to switch on the immersion heater 30 minutes before you want your shower! On our last morning, there was also no hot running water. Instead, we were presented with a bucket of hot water. There is AC in the room but this is used to cool the room only and not heat the room. As we were there in winter time, we were very cold! We booked a premium room which was so small! We asked to see more rooms of the same grade but the front of house staff were not very accommodating. When we raised the issue of no hot water with the manager of the hotel, we received a highly generic and unsatisfactory response. We escalated this to the CEO from whom we received no response at all. For a hotel chain that markets itself as luxury, they fall way below that grade. They were also one of the most expensive hotels we stayed in on our trip to India but one of the lowest scoring. Go elsewhere if you want good service, warm rooms of a reasonable size and hot water as standard. Above all, go somewhere else if you want to stay at a hotel which values its clients."

"Hotel didn’t provide heating system, the room temperature was around 5 degrees. I had to request for room heaters and the staff demanded 500 Rupees per day. Finally agreed for 400 Rupees and at the end of the trip they did not give me the receipt for the Money I paid. Overall it wasn’t a pleasant stay, though the staff was trying to be friendly. The hotel should inform the customer before if there is any extra charges. "
