Great place to stay with excellent care

This was such a beautiful place to stay and our room was lovely! Alice was super helpful for getting around and where everything was. Having breakfast delivered to your door each am was brilliant and delicious! Alice really went the extra mile each day! Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a great family stay at Arden House. The place is spacious, very well kept, and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy nearby. From the property, we enjoyed views of the racetrack and the world’s oldest continuously played golf course — even in the rain, people were out playing! A direct bus to Edinburgh’s Princes Street stops right outside and takes less than 40 minutes. Musselburgh’s town center is also worth a visit for a taste of Scottish small-town charm. Highly recommended — we’ll gladly come back!

Absolutely loved our stay, the owners are very nice and the house was lovely 😍. Our breakfast basket that was delivered to our room was perfect. Easily walkable to the town to get food or shop and the view of the track was beautiful. There is a bus stop right in front of you don't want to drive to Edinburgh. Highly recommend and hopefully we will get to stay again in the future. Thank You for a wonderful night!

Beautiful views and cozy room. A stay to remember!

We had such a wonderful stay at Arden House. Alice and Kevin were so welcoming and made us feel right at home — the kind of personal touch you don’t often find in most hotel chains. We stayed in the family room, which was perfect for our group — my mom, my husband, and me. The room was beautiful, spacious, and had a stunning view that made our stay even more special. Breakfast each morning was excellent — fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. It was the perfect start to our days. The whole atmosphere at Arden House feels warm and welcoming. We felt very well looked after, and everything from the comfort of the room to the quality of the food reflected real thoughtfulness. Thank you for making our time in Edinburgh/Musselburgh so memorable!

Everything was perfect about this property. It was in a great location, bus stop literally at the door. On street parking without issue. The premises themselves were lovely. Very spacious, tasteful but modern interior with comfortable beds & a very flash bathroom (in our family room). We also had a beautiful view of the golf course and racecourse to wake up to. The continental breakfasts were HUGE and very tasty. Lovely to have them served piping hot straight to your door. The staff were also very accommodating when I asked if we could have some extra crockery and cutlery in case our teenagers got hungry during the evenings, as we had some of our own food supplies with us. Speaking of staff, I have the greatest appreciation for our hostess Alice. Her communications were first class and she showed genuine interest in our family and our holiday. She was also a great source of information regarding sightseeing in Edinburgh, public transport etc. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she made special efforts to make our stay comfortable. She arranged a refrigerator access for us to put our cold stuff in. On our second night, unbeknownst to us, our shower had started to leak a little down a wall below. Very unfortunate but just one of those things. Alice supplied another bathroom we could use directly across from our room, and she also gave us access to the room next door as a way to compensate us for the inconvenience, which our sons appreciated having their own room.

Amazing weekend at amazing guesthouse

Fantastic, couldn’t have been more accommodating, stayed here as was competing in Scottish half marathon, house just across the road from finish line!! Also bus outside the house to head directly to Edinburgh where we enjoyed the Fringe festival. Alice went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic weekend, highly recommend.

We were met by the owner no problem to check in at 11am.took us to our room showed us were the breakfast room was ,lovely view from the big bay windows over the horse racing and golf course were made to feel welcome.would certainly recommend to anyone.
