Disappointing
The room is sparse, service at the cafe is horrible - Example: sunny side up comes up hard. Asked for availaility of food for early tour - confirmed ok, but only coffee/tea, no food. Hotel is sub-par

Coral Reef has an old fashion safety box with the actual master key in the middle that can be opened without resetting the passcode. My friend’s wallet and mine were missing $100 each. The person was tempting to do it the next night by knocking on our door at 10pm saying ‘ room service’ while we didn’t order anything. I talked to the receptionist and she said she will conduct an investigation but it has been a week and no word from Coral Reef.

Staff were nice and helpful, conveniently located in el Nido town; walking distance to markets and water activities. Room was ok, located on the 5th floor, so it was a little difficult to walk up and down every day without an elevator. while carrying bags or other things...

Never again I asked the receptionist to make sure no one goes in my room people still with in and out of my room I don’t like the fact I was on the fourth floor and it was no elevator so I had to walk up and down the stairs the communication was just not together

Overall ok, but some detractors
The good: Comfortable beds the breakfast was pretty tasty, albeit a bit small selection-wise. The not-so-good: The room was kind of dark and had a bit of a smell that may have come from the water. The water definitely had a smell from time to time. At the time of our stay they were installing a fire alarm system, which is great for future guests, but being in the middle of the installation they had left a hole in the ceiling covered with just a piece of paper that had torn. We suspected that hole and an opening to the side of the wall-mounted air condition unit to let in some mosquitos.

The WiFi doesn’t work much in the room. I had ants in the room on the beds. You could get a nice coffee at the cafe but have to pay for real coffee.

Breakfast was really great and decent space in room. Bathroom is dirty, water from the tap is absolutely not clean and be prepared because this requires attention.Staff at the reception ok may improve. Great location, Great tour recommendations. Bathroom is dark requires better lights. Not hairdryer.

Great location close to everything. Very nice view Good breakfast. After first night sleeping there My husband was bit by some sort of bug and woke up with tons of bite marks all over his body.

El nido hotel
Nice hotel. Location is really great and close to everything. Good breakfast. Good working wifi. I really appreciated the water stations on every floor. The reception was helpful in booking tours for us.

The staffs were very accommodating, friendly and kind. They helped us organized our El nido tours, canopy walk, van transfers with a discount price. I also love the place because it was only a walk distance to all el nido tours, foods and stores.

Located in town which is convenient if you want to walk around town. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. Room I stayed at was quite clean and staff constantly keep the place tidy. The manager or owner goes out of her way to accommodate her guest. Downside is a hotel is being built beside it and it can be loud during the day but that is no bother as most guest do not stay often in the hotel during the day. The free breakfast may need an upgrade. Most items being served seem to be processed not very appetizing.

I enjoyed my stay here. Clean room. A fair bit of construction going on nearby but should ease in time. The staff were wonderful and so helpful especially Arlene. Breakfast was good with a nice variety (buffet style).

We had a great stay at coral cliff. Staff was super friendly and helpful with everything. Breakfast was good. Good location in El Nido and definitely seems to be one of the best hotels in the area ! So glad we stayed here

Location is good, breakfast very good, generally is a good place but... No elevator. We were 4 days, 4th floor. After long tours 4 floors with bags or equipment is not easy. Besides this a good place.

Small room with basic amenities, although no fridge. Hotel did not have a pool but is close to the beach and walking distance from all the cafes and bars. Very conveniently located. Only downside to the hotel is that it does not have a lift - had to walk up and down to floor 4 with luggage. Overall a good stay.

It was a Funtastic experience stay in a very comfortable bed clean room and nice food for buffet breakfast. We would like also to thank the honest staff of coral cliff as they return our iPhone at is. We will definitely comeback to stay here for our next visit in El nido

Avoid this place if you can
Avoid it - we can't compare with other hotels in the area, but I couldn't get past the safety issues being 5 floors up in a building with no secondary escape exit - one stairwell, no lift. The building also suffered very badly from damp, noticeable worse as you climbed floors from 3 upward. We didn't have running water on 5th floor either - they seemed to be making genuine effort to figure out why with lots of activity on the roof area of building, but reading other reviews it seems this is an ongoing issue. Staff were very helpful however, breakfast was reasonable too with choice of cooked eggs and hot servery. Recommend somewhere by the beach in El Nido, it looked like a better area to be in (regards central town) although some of the outlying resorts probably worth a look too if you don't mind a tricycle ride to the town to the beach\pub\restauant scene that seems quite vibrant. We only spent one night, more than enough with storms going through. Thankfully the hotel seemed good at switching over to their backup generator in the frequent power outages when we were there.

Excellent Accessibility & Service
Good location with restaurants, grocery stores, dive shops, night markets all around the hotel, with the bach just 5 mins away - u just need to cut through those beachfront shops only, easily. Altrove Pizza chain was 2 mins away, just behind the hotel. Aircon in room was strong and good. Water heater was a little unstable but when the helpful staff came around to assist, resolved easily. Toilet flush was good and strong. There was this drainage smell for most of the time when we used the tap and when we showered in the evenings and mornings only, afternoon was ok - so we couldnt figure out was it only when the water flows into the drainage during shower, that causes the drainage to open up the smell from sewage or what. Wifi at its strongest @ main lobby. Kept forgetting to ask them to take a look at it. Had in house cafe which served breakfast with egg station too. Wifi at its strongest @ main lobby. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. For first timers - there's no elevators in the hotel, which is a common thing in El Nino. However if you had big luggages not to worry, they had strong and friendly staff who will help you to carry it up to level 5, very well thought of! Had 2 power trips experience which was neligible as it was up in less than a few minutes - not a problem at all! They had tours and rides to Nacpan beach, back to princesa airport, etc at a reasonable price, cheaper than what we paid for at first. Am sure staying here again for the next trip!
