"This is a good hotel made excellent by the friendly, attentive, professional and fun front of house staff. Nothing was to much trouble. In fact hats off to all the staff. They were all incredible. The rooms are big, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The air-con was icy cold on a hot August day. The bathrooms are modern with a powerful hot shower. Ironing boards and irons in every room. Centrally located. Breakfast was included in the price and plentiful. Hot, cold, fresh waffles, fabulous. We stopped for 2 nights for my son’s wedding at Kelham Island and these guys made the run up and the following morning so hassle free. There were 4 generations of our family stopping and we all agreed our stay was perfect. "

"The room was okay, hotel is in a lovely place. My room wasn’t ready for check in and I was part of a wedding so haven’t to come back wasn’t ideal, my room wasn’t entirely clean, there were dirty tissues under the sink cabinet and there were missing batteries in the remotes in my room. The dishes and glasses at breakfast were also dirty. "

"I booked a compact room usually these are very small but comfy. This was downstairs with only 1 other room close by. Spacious quiet and comfortable. Also cool which was nice as its unusually warm in Buxton. The piano playing in the lobby is a lovely touch "
