Hotel is on the third floor, you will need to climb 6 flights. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it will be for those with health issues. There’s no elevator. This is the only negative point. The rest about this Boutique Hotel is only positive. I’m not sure why this hotel has only one star. I would easily give them at least three stars! Super clean, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, very quiet. I would definitely recommend if you prefer to stay away from the noisy, touristy streets of Florence. We walked from this hotel everywhere; so if you like walking, this place is perfect. Will stay there again!

A brilliant little hotel

We had a fantastic stay at Boutique Hotel Hugo! The location was great, just 10mins walk from the Duomo but quiet at night. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Rocco and the staff were really welcoming and breakfast was very nice with a selection of pastries, savoury sandwiches and good coffee. The hotel is up a couple of flights of stairs, so I couldn't recommend it for anyone who might have trouble with mobility, but it was fine for us and Rocco helped us with our suitcase when we arrived. Overall, a perfect base for our trip to Florence!

The property itself is very good. The people who work there are very nice especially the lady who is there to greet you there, help you with your luggages. I wish I remembered her name. The breakfast is great and enough. Cute breakfast room. Very convenient to the center and to transportation. Close to Santa Maria novalle train station walkable if there are not item you are carrying. The only complaint is the property is on the third floor of a building and there is Only stairs. One of our travel companion had to stay in another hotel. The property mention about the stair access but doesn’t tell you the flight of stairs. It is not for people who can’t climb stairs or people with heavy luggages. Overall our stay was excellent!!

The staff is friendly, the room is clean. The breakfast is great. Area is walkable to every visit spot, very convenient. Only downside is a lot of stair, good for carry on but not for big luggage.

Good for one night stay, but very limited hotel on one floor of a multi floor apartment complex, so would not want to stay for longer duration. Basic, but functional for what we needed for one night

Kind and helpful staff, fresh and tasteful breakfast - although a bit late for business, located in a comfy residential environment but close to tram station, T2 terminal very convenitent for airport. No restaurants in the vicinity, so it is quiet.

We loved this hotel. The room was lovely and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was fresh and clean. The people were so nice. The breakfast was good and quaint. There is no elevator and there are two flight of stairs to get to the hotel, however upon arrival, the staff carried our suitcases up and when checking out, the staff carried our suitcases down the stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

This boutique hotel was fantastic! The staff were so kind and accommodating. The room was spotless and all of the toiletries were replaced daily and clean towels! The only thing missing was an elevator lol

A nice boutique hotel, in a quiet part of Florence, easy walking distance to the centre. Trams stops neaby to airport, train station or through the city.

The staff is very friendly and kind, however the hotel is, in my opinion, incredibly overpriced for what it offers. Three flights of stairs with our luggage was difficult. Rocco did help us with the bags on arrival, but our checkout was not during front desk working hours. There is no 24 hour front desk staff, which I thought was strange, and we needed assistance on our last night due to our taxi cancelling, and front desk had left for the day. The room is fine, nothing special. Good location. Breakfast was ok, but underwhelming compared to what I expected based on the reviews I had read. I think there are much better options in the area at the same price point.
