I could not get the group rate agreed upon for our event because I went through Expedia. But I loved the stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone. They are upgrading rooms I understand, a great beach setting for the whole family.

The room was clean. The view of the beach and Broadwalk was very nice. The windows need to be cleaned better. We did not use the oven because the door did not open properly. It may need to be replaced. Other than that our stay was enjoyable

The room was situated perfectly right on the beach with an ocean view. There was a bar area where I ordered two drinks one for myself and one for my wife. The drinks were pina coladas where we paid a premium price $31 but they were terrible. Use premium liquor and that will change. The beds were not comfortable. Parking was convenient. There are several bars and restaurants in the area but a long walk for children.

We stayed at the Riptide 10 years ago. We loved it then so we decided to go back. Unfortunately, it looks like it did 10 years ago, including appliances, TV, Curtains. It's as if, if it is not broken or torn they are not going to replace it. There is nothing modern or updated. Definitely needs some TLC. Definitely a little gem, but is not treated as such. I am not sure if the lack of updates was just in the room we were given, but based off of the curtains in all the rooms, I don't think so. We also had a do not disturb sign on the door, we had left to the beach and my husband returned to the room to find a worker in the room because they needed to retrieve the playpen that was in our closet. Hotel needs some TLC Positive: Great location, great view, conveniently right on the beach, we were able to check in early for a fee. Activities/Nightlife: You can find the nightlife with bars, music, live music about a 20min walk from the hotel. Plenty of eateries, liquor stores/market. Hotel also has a tiki bar with live music/DJ during the day. Jet ski and bike rentals near by.

The view was absolutely stunning, the location was second to none. The room was huge! A whole kitchen even included. You could hear the upstairs guests, but it is an old hotel, to be expected. A fan would be beneficial to circulate the cool air better. I will stay again, zero complaints!

We really enjoyed our stay at Riptide. It’s an outdated building but is kept up well. Check in was a breeze! I was even given a quick tour. The coffee window is quite nice for morning coffee. The amenities are great including beach chairs etc. Would love to stay here again.

Right on the/direct access to beach/boardwalk……..we were only there one night so did not use the cooktop/kitchenette area……overall our room was clean……no headboards on the beds so pillows kept falling between bed and wall….bathroom was extremely small and the ventilation was not the best……not sure I would book again for more than one night

Live music most of the day and night was a plus! Loved the tiki bar and the fact that we could hang right outside of our room on the patio with tables. Coffee bar right onsite, too. Beautiful view of ocean and easy access to beach. Rooms are dated with no frills but the other pluses make up for it.

Location is unbeatable. The rooms are clean. We had an issue with our toilet, but maintenance came within 10 minutes and fixed the problem. We really enjoyed the tiki bar and the live music! It made for a fun vacation and great vibe!
