Hotels near Fort Stevens Monument and Marker

"The location is not bad but not great, yes, there is a metro station but if you have little kids, you will be roughly an hour away from the National Mall, we were glad we drove. Parking was very confusing, it is shared with Trader Joe’s and other pavilion businesses - would have been helpful to have a sign notifying guests that they may park anywhere. Getting into the lobby from the parking was confusing, too. It didn’t feel very safe because there are all sorts of random people all over the place. Front desk people were nice but nobody tried to go out of their way to impress anyone. They offer complimentary happy hour and breakfast and have to hand out these manually cut out vouchers which looked kiddish. Happy hour is a nice touch but that whole bar area could be modernized. Breakfast is plentiful, all the staff working it is top notch. The room itself was alright: the bedroom was unreasonably huge while the bathroom, hallway and living room were tiny. We were three female adults with two little kids and it felt like we were on top of each other in the common areas. The fridge didn’t shut so the condensation was maddening. There were two cups to usefor coffee or tea, would be nice if there were plastic cups for like five for water or whatever. It would be nice to have more hooks in the bathroom, more hangers for the closet and coat area. Would be nice to have a rug in the bedroom. There were stains on the curtains, couch, sheets. There was an old gum under the night table."

"The hotel was pretty average... Very limited parking, which you also have to pay for ($20 a day). Staff was super friendly! Once the hotel finishes renovations, I'm sure it will be a lot nicer. "

"The hotel is quite central in the city with lots of surrounding restaurants and businesses. Easy to access from the airport and self-parking is convenient."

"I found the bed and bedding comfortable and the shower quite good! Hot water came up to the 9 th floor sink & shower quickly and consistently. Drinking glasses and a coffee maker were missed items, typically found in hotel rooms at this price point. The lobby is bright and welcoming but the decor of the hallway leading to my room was sort of dark and dreary and could use some brightening up. Overall, a good convenient choice."

"I enjoyed breakfast at their restaurant. My bed was nice and comfortable. Thete was no microwave or refrigerator in the room which was odd considering we booked a king sized room. We asked for a microwave, the staff was kind and brought it in the room for us."
