The room was clean and spacious. They have shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower. Nice size refrigerator and freezer, and microwave. My only complaint was that the shower drain was not secured and kept coming off. Other than that we had their continental breakfast that was hot, they have a pancake making machine that made fresh pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, make your own breakfast sandwich. The first night we were there we were heading out to dinner and about 15 CHP’s pulled in. We weren’t sure what was going on but it seemed that maybe they had some kind of training or convention going on. It made our stay feel even safer. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, I know we will be back.

Older hotel that's been updated and well maintained. The king bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. We loved that the small bathroom window and the front window opened to enjoy the nice breeze (really wish more hotel windows opened!) Refrigerator was off for eco-friendliness but got cold quick. Breakfast had an excellent selection over the two days we stayed of pancakes, waffles, eggs, potatoes, cereal, bagels, yogurt, fruit, almond milk, etc. Parking was plentiful and easy to get a space close to your room for easy loading/unloading. Would definitely stay here again. Also, be sure to try the nearby Eel River Brewing Co - some of the best clam chowder and fish and chips we've ever had!

The Sequoia Suite is not worth the extra money. We booked it to have more space for us and our two kids. It is all by itself as the only room attached to the main lobby/breakfast area building. (You enter from behind on its own outside entrance). We were woken up through the entire night from loud noise in the lobby/employee area. Employees were loudly laughing and talking at 2 am, 3 am, 4 am, 6 am. We ALL did not sleep and my kids kept asking why there were people talking in the bathroom all night. Terrible.

This was a great base to explore Humboldt State Park for a few days. The property is a bit dated but it was clean and served my needs well. The staff was very helpful.

Stayed here twice, first visit the room was very clean and nice. Second time around, not so much - toilet was gross. Other guests were very loud, but not to the fault of the hotel.

Arrived pretty late, checked in by unwelcoming staff. No communication about breakfast, checkout time, facilities. Parking filled with trucks, barely able to find a spot available. Asked for a ground level room, since traveling with older people and kids, told that there was nothing available, even thought reservations was made ahead of time. Overall, disappointing experience.

Apparently some companies have their employees rent rooms at this facility. The parking lot got a little crowded due to the large presence of oversize trucks parking in the lot. It got a bit noisy after they got off work and gathered in the parking are, talking and joking around...loudly. But they did quiet down before 900 pm so it wasn't too bad.

Property was clean and staff members were all really friendly. The free breakfast option was great. The room was clean and property had a nice doggie area. It's a bit on the pricier side but I guess it's due to the limited options in the area and we needed a pet friendly option.
