Stayed here for a night the first week of April. Had a beautiful view of the Bodensee. The room was clean and well kept. Great location too

Nice but small
Great location, this nice hotel has great staff, a good restaurant and friendly bar. Only negative was size of bed and bathroom, I’m not a fan of showers over baths with curtains, however this did come with air con (much needed in summer here in Friedrichshafen)

I liked the location of the hotel close to town and to the water. I wonder if they could have had a more selective dinner menu. I thought that the items on the menu was overpriced compared to the places in town and by the water.

I arrived early and I could keave my luggage so I could go to the Zeppelin museum. Staff were great, the room was really nice and the place has such a nice ambience. The breakfast was superb. What a nice stay.

Great Location for Lake Constance
Great hotel and well placed for the main central area and exploring the wider lake attractions. Check in was strange and we were advised we could only book a parking space for part of our trip but they couldn't tell us where it would be till the next day? Actually parking outside the hotel was fairly accessible and reasonably priced so this was not a big issue. Hotel was quiet during our stay and rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We didn't have breakfast or use the restaurant but the food looked pretty good? Would stay again if we were back in the region.

Great location and great service by the staff. Room was excellent A lot of traffic issues due to extensive roadworks. Dining facility had limited range and was expensive.

The Hotel is is in great location close to the train station and a short walking distance from lake Bodensee and a 10 minute walk to the City centre. The hotel is very clean with good size rooms. The bathroom sinks in the room we stayed in did not seal so you could not hold water in the sinks for washing ECT and the water pressure for the shower was poor. There was no extraction unit fitted in the bathroom/toilet. Breakfast is not included in the price however you do have the option of paying for breakfast at the hotel. There is a bar in the hotel but this was only open two out of the 10 nights we stayed.

With my luggage travelling by train I needed a place nearby that had good access to the lake. The location of Hotel Buchhorner is great for that: 5 min. by foot from train station and across the street from the lakeside with restaurants and walkways, green spaces and the lake. Yet the hotel is an updated older building with character and a cozy interior, very clean rooms and common areas, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating (when I arrived way early for check-in, they watched my luggage for a couple of hours while I walked into town, and then got a room ready early for me). Nice stay.

Pleasant weekend stay
Hotel was centrally located for all the things we wanted to do at Lake Constance. The room had comfortable beds and was very clean. The bathroom (and especially the shower) was a little on the small side. Had an excellent on site restaurant (not something you necessarily expect). Overall, a really nice experience.

Bad internet connection
Internet connection was really really bad. I asked to check the connection to the reception. But, never happened. I had to turn on hot spot from my cell phone to work with laptop. I should have requested room change. My colleague's room was no problem. My Room number was 230. But, the room itself was very clean and comfortable.

Junior Suite - Family trip
We were in a Junior Suite, with a mezzanine type floor (teenagers loved this bit away from us 😂) a sofa area, fridge and upstairs had an outside seating area and you could see the lake. Excellent value, more than I can say for the car park next door which cost us 34euros for less than 24 hours 😕 - we paid extra for breakfast which was ok not fantastic but well worth the price and the coffee was good. Overall we loved it! Traditional downstairs but our bedroom was modern, oh and the beds were really comfy. It’s also over the road from the lake, great location

Location near the train station and in the center of the city was excellent. Room was generally nice. Breakfast buffet was good. On the down size, there were three steps leading into the room, which were unexpected the first time I stepped into the room. There was only one light switch, right near the door, so that when I turned off the light to go to bed, I had to find my way to the bed in the dark.

They did not like that we booked with Hotel.com. We booked 7rooms all together for 3 to 4 nights each. Some were very friendly and others not at all. Were not willing to work with us at all.

Excellent experience. Hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help. Family room was very large. Toilette and showe were separate rooms but both had sinks. Doors to each were white glass which was not a problem for us. This really is the best location. Highly recommend it!!!!

Reasonable, but not great.
Reasonable hotel, but certainly not four star by usual standards. Clean and tidy room, but simple things missing, e.g. no shower gel or shampoo, no contents in the mini-bar fridge. The restaurant is quite good, but stops serving at 10 and stops taking orders some time before that. The bar wasn't well run and had shortages or was missing various simple drinks and mixers from the menu.

ONE SINGLE FITNESS MACHINE
The hotel should stop cheating about the availability of "some fitness equipment" as it has been advertising on its WEB site for a couple of year already, when in fact THERE IS ONLY ONE SINGLE FITNESS MACHINE. Everything else was fine.

Dear Mr. Pierre, Thanks for your review. Our hotel has a small gym, with a few appliances. Our stepper and treadmill are currently the only devices in our gym. In addition, we also have different weights, which are occasionally taken by guests in the room. Since our hotel has a small gym and is not a gym, these devices are usually sufficient. If you have expected a real gym, we are sorry to have you disappointed. The colleagues at the reception will be happy to help you in the future with a gym.

We only stayed for one night. The room was okay. A little dated and somehow the curtains aren't really wide enough to provide full cover of the windows. Check in was quick and checking out is also as quick.
