We had a good stay at hotel. Family of 4 needed two couch/bed conversions for kids which were a little uncomfortable for kids but they coped. Otherwise room was fine for what we needed. It had a washer and drying room in bathroom which came in hand to wash and dry clothes. Family mart across road was also convenient and walking distance to many local attractions like the shopping streets and Kiyomizu-dera.

Hotel is fine, walking distance to Gion. But there is a big fire station right next to it so you will get fire trucks siren noise 24x7 and especially it's disturbing and loud at night. Also the metro train station is quite a walk.

I recently stayed at Sakura Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk from major attractions, which made exploring the area so easy.
