This was an amazing place to stay. We were only here for a night, but it was the most relaxing stay ever. The private onsen was amazing and there were so many special touches like matching pajamas, a goodie bag and breakfast included. We left very early so the staff gave us our breakfast the night before in a packed lunch and it was so lovely. We also got a massage and it was incredible. Staff were so kind and lovely. Would definitely stay here again, thanks so much <3

Wonderful property. True Japanese experience for my teenagers. Staff was wonderful. Restaurants in the area close early and coffee shops do not open until 9:00 am, so need to plan for that. Breakfast at hotel was wonderful and great variety of local cuisine.

The hotel is great. The rooms are confortable and beautiful and the lake’s view is very nice. The food (dinner and breackfast) is delicious. The staff from the hotel is really helpfull.

Gorgeous Ryokan with Onsens in the basement and rooftop. Amazing views of Lake Kawaguchiko from the room and breakfast and great service by Ayumi who brought us dinner into our room.

We loved staying here! The staff was very kind and professional. The half-board and breakfast were very generous and filling. The room was clean and the futon beds were so comfortable. The surrounding area is nice to walk around. This was a very good experience.

This property is right on the lake, 10 minutes walk from kawaguchiko bus station, and right by the panoramic ropeway to see mt fuji. The hotel staff was extremely nice, we were able to store our luggage with them prior to check in and after check out as our travel schedule did not perfectly align with the times. We booked the private onsen for about $20 for 50 minutes. after a long day (or two) of travel from the US, it was perfect! My partner has tattoos, and it was our first onsen experience so the private onsen was just what we needed. the views are beautiful and so peaceful. the tatami beds in the room were comfortable and we loved the yukatas provided by the hotel to wear to dinner. the dinner was multiple courses, with interesting options that were not really explained or labeled. overall the dinner was good but not near the best we had during our time in japan. overall we had a relaxing stay and would come back!

Very impressive experience, staff are nice, helpful and can speak english. Wonderfull meal and breakfast. Parking is easy and close by. This hotel respect privacy. Just make sure to book lake view room, otherwise there is a chance that you will be assigned to the older wing/building of this hotel without outside view. Finally, try out all of their amazing hot spring is a must!! Will book again and recommend to others.

A Ryoukan Stay to Remember!
Visited this beautiful ryoukan for my honeymoon and it exceeded all expectations. The lake view, the onsens, and the view of Mt. Fuji was absolutely SPECTACULAR! Not to mention the level of service provided by the front desk and staff servicing breakfast hour. My wife and I had a beautiful time and honestly did not want to leave. We said next time we visit the area, we know exactly where we're staying... Kasuitei Ooya!

It was a very pleasant 2-night stay in Kasuite Ohya. Credit is given to the room service staff Yumi who was very friendly and cute, always smile, and helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary. Also thank you the hotel for arranging us the Mountain Fuji view room and serving us white wine for the special day. The hotel was very clean, and in a convenient location. There are two onsen places inside the hotel (Lv B1 and 7/F), pretty enough for serving all guests, and I was able to enjoy the onsen by myself sometimes. The negative point of the hotel is that the weak sound proof, we can hear noises of the road and next door. Yet, it’s still in an acceptable level. The other thing is about the food, the breakfast is not as deluxe as expected, mainly serving vegetable dishes. Overall, a nice experience still!

Everything was so beautiful and attention to detail. Staff was very welcoming, the room was ready and very clean, the breakfast was so special, delicious traditional Japenese breakfast. YES! This place is amazing! 5 people in my family - we got a room with 5 futons. Paid an extra $130 to include both dinner and breakfast. Dinner was an absolutely incredible experience. We would expect to pay $100 each for that amount of food and the experience! There are 2 onsens you can use, both beautiful. I did not pay for the lake view room, and wound up with a view of Mt Fuji out our window! Perfect location on the lake, the hotel picked us up from the station, they gave us a bag of snacks on check in and a gift when checking out... Could not recommend more highly!
