A few suggestions…unit needs a small table between beds and some luggage racks, without these items we had no choice but to put all our belongings on the floor. "It's a beautiful Showa Era Ryokan that's over 70 years old. There is a 200 yen accommodation tax when checking in (this tax applies for all accommodations in Fukuoka), which I happily paid for as I want to support sustainable tourism). "My stay at this hotel was very pleasant and I couldn't praise the staff and cleanliness highly enough. However this hotel is right out in the "sticks" - miles from anywhere. It is a 10 minute taxi ride to the nearest subway station. Then a 20 minute subway ride into the city and shopping area of Tenjin. A further 30-40 minutes to beach."
