Tomonoura Shiomachi Hotel Roya

Tomonoura Shiomachi Hotel Roya

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at Shiomachi Roya in Tomonoura was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I was impressed by the renovations done to turn this old merchant house into an inn. I liked the design and decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Because this particular house (Roya) has only 4 rooms to stay in, the staff are located at another sister inn literally just around the corner, one minute away. Everything you need is within walking distance in this small town. Staying here enhanced our experience of staying in this historical old port town. The location is beautiful and our visit to Sensui-jima (the island just off the coast) was a perfect half day walk/hike. The local cafes and restaurants that we visited were also great. I highly recommend visiting and staying at the Shiomachi Tomonoura."
