10/10 Excellent

"We stayed here three nights during the Galway Arts Festival and loved it. It was about an 25 minute walk to the downtown area but it was a very safe / easy path with sidewalks. Our room was newly renovated and they have a full gluten free / celiac safe restaurant and breakfast which was delicious 😋"

Nox Hotel

"My wife and I and a friend from London stayed at the Nox Hotel Galway on 14th July as a stopover on our west of Ireland trip. I had difficulty finding a hotel in Galway as the Galway Arts Festival was in full swing on that date. I was apprehensive as The Nox Hotel was graded as a 3 star hotel but on arrival had I not known I would have presumed it was 4 star. The reception area was large, modern in design with comfortable seating. The reception staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were large, comfortable and well set out with all the amenities one would expect from a four star hotel. There was a phone at reception to book a taxi at a fixed price to Eyre Square in Galway. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide selection of hot and cold items. All the food at breakfast was well presented and delicious and the staff were efficient and friendly. A couple of other guest reviews have commented about the dark corridors and it can be a bit disconcerting to step out of the lift to low lighting but main lights come on as you proceed along the corridor. It's the hotel's way of reducing its energy footprint and making the hotel more "green" and I approve of that. All in all a very enjoyable stay at the Nox Hotel and if I return to Galway would have no hesitation in booking in at the Nox Hotel again."

"Stayed here as a family of 4. Room was huge with big windows. Great air conditioning too! Plenty of free parking. Also nice to have free use of the Pool. Its nice to have a dip whilst o na road trip around Ireland! Good Steam room and sauna too. You do need to wear a hat in the pool, which they sell for €3.50 each, so maybe buy a cheap set online before you go, but otherwise very good. Didn't eat here. Bar was ok though but the glasses were quite dirty on all the drinks. Its right on the edge of Galway city if you are looking to visit the centre. There is a shopping centre and places to eat next door though. Could do with a bit of a refurb in the room but if you get a good rate, I would recomend staying here still."

Connemara Coast Hotel

"We were allocated a spacious room with a side view of the ocean. The room was clean and everything was in good working order. Even though the hotel hosted a wedding and 60th birthday party while we were visiting, we still enjoyed excellent service and there was no noise on our side. The location of the hotel is beautiful. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast and very hot plates! Overall, it’s a beautifully kept hotel in a stunning location."
