Great location on the small river, ample parking. Good free breakfast, friendly staff. Very nice rooms with balcony and fireplace. Gret rate when we stayed.
We loved our stay at the Bearskin Lodge! The rooms were clean and so spacious! The hard wood floor fit in well with the lodge theme, the fireplace was so nice when coming in from the cold and the balcony overlooking the river was peaceful. The staff was also super friendly and helpful.

While the room was pretty clean and the staff friendly, the hotel overall is very outdated and dingy. Breakfast was very sad, carbs only, no fresh options - even hard boiled eggs were yellow and looked inedible. Luckily we stayed only one night because it felt very depressing, and I would not want to spend a whole vacation there. I’ve been to many lodges before so I know what to expect, but definitely didn’t enjoy this one.
This is a great place, awesome staff, great location, clean and large rooms. Only thing we would change is the Fitness Center could be a little bigger.
Lovely place to stay. Room is roomy, clean, beds are comfy. The balcony overlooking the water is beautiful and peaceful and we got to see a very big black bear walking down the water and rocky areas from our balcony, a safe distance. The hotel safe were very nice, informative and accommodating. The hotel is in the perfect location as well. Highly recommend.
The room and view were amazing. Getting to use the fireplace while watching it snow outside was unbelievably beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. When we returned every evening there was warm apple cider to completely round out the rustic cabin feel. We will definitely stay here again.
AC kept room cool. Enjoyed the balcony- listening ti the water flow. There is Keurig coffee available in the room and the lobby. Continental breakfast was fair and enough to start your day- press to order pancakes, cereal, yogurt etc. it was a delightful stay and will definitely book again
Overall- very clean, great location, comfortable beds- slept like a rock .Gym was not good- super small and hot room

The balcony over the river and fireplace in the room were standout features! Great customer service (we were allowed access to our room early) was also noteworthy. Good parking, walkable with tons of restaurants within minutes, right by the entrance to the National Park. Cleanliness. In room coffee and a coffee station in the lobby is helpful (all Keurigs).
Cons: The rooms and common areas really need refreshing. We had mix-matched paint patches in our room and bathroom; sofa was so worn; ceilings were really dingy. Also, it’s 2026 - please get smart tv’s in the rooms so guests can cast/stream. Queen beds really seem like full-size. They were fairly comfortable but the pillows are awful.
The river balcony, fireplace and location are worth staying again!
We enjoyed our stay at the Bearskin Lodge. Everyone always says location is the most important thing; however, I feel when you are staying at a hotel that cleanliness is the most important, followed by location. Bearskin Lodge has both. The room was clean and the location excellent, so it is a win-win. The balcony on the river was cozy and relaxing. Staff members were extremely nice. Could not give a review on breakfast because we like to go to Crockett’s Breakfast Camp and other places for breakfast; however, the coffee by the elevators is pretty decent. Overall I would give this property a 9 out of 10. I will definitely be staying here again.
The staff was so nice and friendly. They helped us with any requests. The whole place was very clean and had that rustic charm I was looking for. The view of the river plus the fireplace made it so special for a winter getaway. It has free parking and breakfast included. The food was perfect. We walked everywhere since all places are so close by. Would 100% recommend and go back ourselves and stay there every time.
Beautiful rooms right over the creek. Fireplace and all the decorations in room was gorgeous. The man working front desk was nice. The woman working the breakfast shift Saturday morning was not nice at all. I even spoke to her and she looked right at me and no response. She was annoyed that she had to work. Everything else was wonderful!
Quiet place, just off the noisy strip. River balcony room is a must. Pure hypnosis. Everything was within walking distance. Rooms are cozy and well maintained. Large TV and comfy beds. Nice staff. Breakfast was ok. Will stay again.
