The Grand Hotel

"My first impression was very positive with everything looking fresh and clean. We stayed three nights and our beds were straightened up each day. We spilled crumbs from our breakfast treat and I was surprised that the rug wasn't vacuumed. The bathroom was large and appeared to be recently renovated with double sinks, a shower and separate bathtub!! There were soap dispensers attached to the walls for the shower and sinks but there wasn't a dispenser for the bathtub so I was unable to enjoy a bath! The rooms were very quiet despite the hotel being occupied by many young children who were allowed to run around the hotel with no adult supervision! Hopefully the place will be less chaotic the next time we stay there! The location is very central and there is a new ice cream store called Dumont Creamery up El Camino that was outstanding, especially the strawberry cream flavor!"

"Went for our honeymoon. Had a fantastic time. I ordered a charcuterie board to our room. After we arrived we went to our room dropped off our bags and walked around the property with some drinks. When we came back to the room there was chocolate covered strawberries, the charcuterie board and a bottle of champagne. The champagne and strawberries were on the house. It may be a small thing, but it was very special."
