Small room, no ammenities. Good location

Excellent breakfast; asian and western styles available and delivered by staff happy in their work. Staff were very professional; attentive without being intrusive and always happy to provide suggestions or advice. Excellent location. Close to Chinatown - avoid the Shanghai Village restaurant if you want a quiet dinner - and the CBD. Make use of the free transport in the city centre; route 35 takes you around the whole city on a one hour tour. Also go on the free walking tours around the city, but leave the knowledgeable guide a gratuity at the end! Don't miss Brunetti Oro cafe for fabulous coffee and cakes.

The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable if a bit springy. The breakfast was an acceptable quality buffet, though the 10am close on a Sunday was a little early

Reception staff were terrible at check in time. If you can, avoid checking in at 2pm. There were almost 10 parties waiting to check in and there was no system to identify who was waiting first. There was only 1 staff at the check in table at 2pm. Staff told some patrons to sit and wait while new patrons stood in line. Once they were ready to check someone new in, they called from the line rather than people sitting and waiting. When challenged, the staff were defensive and offered no apology for the error and wait time. Insgead, they argued with the customers and said they weren't aware since they were on their lunch break. The staff did not communicate to each other and no apologies were made.

This was the second time i stayed at Clarion. It aas really great. The staff are great. I am grateful for the assistance from the front desk when i was running late for a show and the woman ordered a taxi for me so i could get there on time. Even with check out the front staff are just lovely.
