"We stayed at Culanie Inn on our way back from Skye. This inn had the best service and was very pleasant to book with. I highly suggest staying here for the views and for the kind service. There was a great walk close to the inn which was wonderful for the sunset views. "
"Friendly and efficient staff. Very welcoming. Lovely quiet room with comfortable bed. Good shower. Parking outside front door. My third stay this summer while I walk the Affric munros. Quaint little village with nearby lower walks too."
"The Highland Club is in a old abbey. I has been renovated into a modern and very comfortable place of lodging. The rooms are modern, but the facility creates a feel of being in an ancient cathedral. It was very nice. The staff was extremely nice and helpful."
"Our stay at Binnilidh Mhor was absolutely wonderful! Alan and Sheila made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and genuine kindness. The B&B itself is immaculately clean, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds—exactly what we needed after long days exploring the breathtaking Scottish Highlands.
The breakfast was delicious, and Sheila’s homemade yogurt was a standout—so fresh and flavorful! But what truly made our stay special were the lively and memorable conversations around the breakfast table. Alan and Sheila have a gift for creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family.
The surrounding countryside is stunning, and the people in the area are as warm and welcoming as our hosts. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we will definitely be returning to Binnilidh Mhor on our next trip to Scotland.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable, and heartwarming stay in the Highlands. Thank you, Alan and Sheila, for such a memorable visit!"
"This is a wonderful place to stay. It feels like the Scottish hunting lodge it was, solid and comfortable and close to the forest. The view over Loch Ness is perfect. The staff take very good care of you. The food is excellent. The location is convenient to all the Highlands. The bed is comfortable. There is a fine lounge downstairs and chairs on the lawn overlooking the loch. My only tiny complaint was that the toiletries and in room coffee came in tiny plastic packaging which caused a lot of difficult recycling.
