"I don’t write many reviews, but this wasn’t a great option. Over breakfast the owner/manager was getting after cleaning staff in front of everyone about how they have been flipping the sheets on beds instead of putting fresh sheets… the room was pretty run down and dirty, the doors and walls are thin so you hear everything."

"Wasnt impressed with the coffee/breakfast cafe on first floor. Service was horrible and staff was more conversational with staff than guests. Price was also very high. Basement bar prices and staff were exceptional - very happy with the service. The bar on 3rd floor was very understaffed and the prices were almost double basement bar. Seems they prided themselves on text interaction yet the response to requests was either very late or not answered. We waited on clean towels all day, asked twice and it still took a phone call late at night after our return from a conference. "

"If you get a high room, it may be worth the price. Like many Marriotts, there was insufficient front desk staff, which meant long lines for check-in and nobody answering phones. My room was only cleaned once in a five-night stay, and I called several times to ask for the room to be cleaned only to receive no answer. Going down to the front desk was not the answer: the lines were always very long. The abandonment of the RenCen does not help make the hotel a welcoming place. The hotel only has one entrance, on a side service street, and no functioning exit to Jefferson Avenue or the Riverwalk."
