Beautiful property with stunning views of Mt. Fuji. Fantastic dinner and breakfast buffets, and a great location for taking the rope-way to the sights. Great staff as well.

Amazing spot in the mountains with views of mount fuji on clear days. While location is a bit remote, it can be reach by bus and the cable car station is only 5 minutes away (works until 5pm only). Rooms are big with lots of amenities including pajamas and traditional Japanese outfits to wear at the hotel. The indoor and outdoor onsen were great too. Breakfast and dinner buffet were also really good. Lots of food varieties in offer.

The room was clean and spacious. Although the hotel is a bit older, everything is well maintained. The staff is very helpful and give support very quickly. The buffet restaurant is excellent with a very large selection of food and desserts. The staff also take care of used plates vert quickly. There also is a a very nice view of Mt Fuji from their garden.

We were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji several times during our stay which completely made our stay worthwhile, the hotel had excellent views. The rooms were nice, basic but a good size. There was a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee (they sold coffee in the shop). The ensuite was very basic but had a decent shower. The hotel did provide kimono’s in the room for use during our stay. The half board option was okay, the food choice was limited dinner and breakfast. The food was well labelled with allergy information however, breakfast was until 0930 but they started cleaning up just before 0900 which included the labels (therefore if you have an allergy it was more like Russian roulette).

An Amazing Traditional Japanese Experience with Mt. Fuji Views you won’t ever forget! We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Green Plaza Hakone. If you want to experience traditional Japan while visiting Hakone, this is a wonderful place to stay. My favorite part was the traditional Japanese tatami room. I highly recommend booking a room with a Mt. Fuji view—waking up and seeing Mt. Fuji from the hotel made the experience unforgettable. The traditional Japanese bath house (onsen) is a must. Being able to relax in the hot spring while looking at Mt. Fuji was one of the highlights of our trip. It’s an experience you really shouldn’t miss. Definitely include dinner with your stay. There were so many unique Japanese dishes to try, and the quality of the food was excellent. The breakfast was out of this world too—so much variety and a great way to experience different Japanese foods. What makes this hotel special is that it’s more than just somewhere to sleep. You get the full Japanese experience. You can put on the traditional yukata robes and wear them around the hotel and grounds, which makes the stay even more fun and memorable. One tip: wear your yukata and walk out to the garden for photos with Mt. Fuji in the background. We got some beautiful pictures there. We had a Japanese style room with a speechless mountain Fuji view,we were lucky to see it clearly both days of our stay. The onsen is well organised,clean,they provide all the amenities. Both breakfast and dinner is buffet with a big variety of Japanese and western dishes,everything is very fresh and good quality. There is a bus from Odakawa station that leaves you 5 min from the hotel.

Onsen hotel with a view

Stayed for one night with family. Great views of mt Fuji from hotel and onsen. Food at dinner and breakfast very good in quality and range. Windy during stay so no ropeway making access by public transport indirect although not an issue as travelled relatively lightly.
