The property looks very traditional, with public and private onsen. The Kayseki diner is a very good experience. The staff was helpful. The location is good in front of bus stop.
The service here was exceptional. We had a great stay.

This is a classical Japanese family operated hotel with friendly service. Room is big, but because the building is a little older, you can occasionally hear someone next door if they slide the door hard.
We loved our stay at an authentic old school ryokan. The staff was lovely and worked hard to make our stay pleasant. They have a special greeter named Milk who added to the charm. I slept well on the traditional mats. It was right by the bus stop so easy to find. The establishment has well worn aged charm that suited us.
Loved having the boardgames available and checking out a kimono during the stay was a lot of fun! The traditional breakfast was way beyond expectations.
Got the half board experience, totally enjoyed the variety and freshness of the food. Loved the green tea too. Outdoor and indoor private onsen. Friendly staff and warm welcome. Would love to visit again in the future.

Staffs are helpful and friendly. Food is delicious and price is reasonable
We had a great overnight stay here. It was so wonderful to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The room had a great set up with tatami mats and sliding doors. Each night the staff came in and set up our futons for bed and in the morning, come in to put them away and served us breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and had so many delicious dishes that we were so full we didn't eat lunch. The onsen bath house was also the main reason we stayed here. They had a public bath and 2 private onsens for us to use. It was an amazing experience to bath in the onsen and to stay overnight experiencing a traditional Japanese Ryokan!

The building and rooms are a bit dated and not in the best of condition. Some parts of the building are not the most clean, evidenced by cobwebs and dust. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner was fantastic. It was a comfortable stay.

The traditional Ryokan experience. sleeping on futon beds in a tatami floored room, wearing a Yukatan, enjoying the hot spring Onsen and above all the incredible meals, served in our room. was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and the service top. So is did not matter to us at all, that the house and facilities were a bit worn out - though absolutely clean. It just added to the special atmosphere. we would love to come back.
The room is big, everything is clean despite very old.
Please beware that you need to notify them if you are checking early or later as there's nobody there after the check out time and check in time. Therefore it might look deserted but it actually very warm and welcoming when it fills with more guest in the AM & evening.
Please understand that the hotel is very old but they maintain everything and keep it functional. I love the charm of the old character.

It’s an older building and the wear shows. It’s my first time staying at a traditional Ryokan and I initially found the futon a little hard to sleep on but I was able to double up using a second one in the closet. The onsen doesn’t look super fancy but it may be the minerals. It was very relaxing and pleasant however and not busy. The room was quiet and the temperature was perfect. They also leave a nice tea set in the room for your use. Customer service was very kind. I didn’t try the in house food but there was good food around the area available including a wonderful coffee breakfast spot named Cafe LUDERA. Additionally there are two adorable and gentle cats in the lobby that appreciate gentle pets.
Amazing stay with my husband, 16 and 18 year old girls. Very clean and lovely hospitality. Yes, it has an older appearance, but it’s part of the charm. The room was perfect for the 4 of us and we really enjoyed learning more about Japanese traditions by wearing the ukata robes, using the onsen, sleeping on the futons, and indulging in the dinner and breakfast. We also loved the 17 year old cat that wears an insulated and hooded vest.
This was our best stay in all of Japan. A truly authentic experience with an amazing lobby, beautiful rooms, fantastic staff, super clean, and a fully-stocked lobby and game room, so you will never be bored! I would definitely come back!

This place is not comfortable. The Onsen was really small. The common areas had a strong odor of cat urine. The staff we interacted most was inpatient, not willing to explain things or answering questions.
Don’t book this ryokan on the basis of Expedia photos - onsen in particular looks nothing like the photos in real life. Be aware it’s in the middle of nowhere. Generally pretty tired and tatty…

The hotel made an error and did not have a meal prepared for us in the evening. Only one restaurant in walking distance which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Did not take a bath as we had come from golf where there was a nice onsen. The hotel provides a nice yukata to wear in the property. Green tea and manjyu was a nice welcoming touch in the room.
